Annaya and Kain dated for three years, The two of them loved each other deeply. He treated her so well. He brought her flowers and a promise ring. He even wrote letters to her before he left for practice every day.
It was like a fairytale. One she had wished would last forever, But as days, weeks, months, and years went by. The pair grew distant everyone wondered what happened between the two people that was once so full of love.
But whenever she thought back to all those good memories and tried to let them outshine the bad ones, She couldn't.
She couldn't forget the hurtful words he would say to her. How he would come home late at night, how he would slam doors in her face. She wondered if she was the problem. She wondered if it was because she wasn't beautiful enough. If she wasn't skinny enough.
She hated herself.

Now, she sat in the rain mascara running down her face while she fought back tears. She knew she would no longer be able to control it for long.
Her knees were bruised from chasing after the car and falling, All she wanted was for him to stay. Her heart ached without him, She loved him and he was all she had.
The only person who gave her a reason to not give up and keep going, Her parents were no longer around, She was all alone.
Who would've known that the man she met three years ago at a kid's party, Would leave her so broken?
She screamed and shouted, She begged and cried. The words 'Why me?' Repeated in her head, Nonstop.
She clenched the fabric of her clothing that relaxed against her chest and punched the ground repeatedly. Finally letting the tears flow. The words "Why couldn't I just be good enough!?" Spilled from her mouth in a shaky tone.
Her breathing quickened, She tried to take deep breaths. But the pain was too much she couldn't even get herself to take steady breaths or stand.
She was too busy focusing on trying to calm down, She didn't even notice the faint sounds of a vehicle approaching. She didn't notice the bright lights approaching from a distance.
Not until it was too late.

She imagined a big beautiful wedding and their honeymoon.
She imagined their daughter running around laughing and playing with her favorite toy. While the two of them cuddled on the couch.
Most importantly, They were finally happy. The idea of them being happy brought a smile on her face once more. Something she thought that would've been impossible.
