"Love you. I'll see you soon, Pops." I said, closing the car door behind me. I threw my bag over my shoulder while I looked around.
I can't believe I let my sister talk me into coming here.
I watched the campers grab their bags and head inside the building. Following behind, everyone gathered inside the main cabin.
I held my bag in my arm and moved my hair from my face. A few more campers and counselors gathered inside the main cabin, all seemingly close to one another.
Man, I really want to lie down.
A girl approached me and smiled brightly. "Hey, you must be new? I'm Andrea."
I looked at her for a moment and replied, "Yeah, I'm Maven."
"Welcome to the MYM camp!" She said, I nodded my head while letting out a nervous laugh.
"Come on, Andrea. You're scaring the new girl already." Someone said, approaching us.
"Hey, Dixon. I didn't think you'd be returning." Andrea said, Dixon looked at her and stretched. "I wouldn't miss out on scaring the new campers."
I walked away and was stopped by another person, I let out a deep sigh. "Hey, you wouldn't have seen a tatted woman by any chance?" I shook my head.
"No, I haven't," I replied, and she scoffed. "Well, if you see her, tell her that. Her girlfriend Gio is looking for her."
"I'm guessing Gio would be you?" I asked and she rolled her eyes. "Giovanna for outsiders like you." She said, and I laughed.
"Wow, okay?" I replied, she shrugged her shoulders, and pushed past me.
At her big age.
"Can we have all the counselors gather up front?" the camp director announced.
I walked up front with seven others and I noticed one less person.
"Where's Lizeth?" the director asked. "No idea, she's been mia since we arrived," Giovanna said.
