The lecture went by quicker than I expected it to. I grabbed my bag but Kehlani grabbed it from me and tossed it over her shoulders.

We walked out of the classroom and my ex waited outside the door. "So, is this who you left me for Yeji?".

Kehlani stopped and looked at her. "So, what if I am?" Kehlani said to my ex. "What would your mother think if she found out her daughter is messing around with women?" My ex said to me in a threatening way. "She'd disown you, right?" She continued and Kehlani looked at me.
