Silverstone had always been a place of memories for Rose Page. It was where she had celebrated triumphs, faced heartbreaks, and grown into the woman and driver she was today. And now, in the final days of her pregnancy, she found herself back in the paddock—this time, not as a competitor but as a spectator. The atmosphere, the energy of the crowd, and the roar of the engines resonated deeply, as though the circuit itself carried the weight of all her moments there.

Her doctor had strongly advised against traveling, citing the risks of being so far from the comforts of a hospital in her condition. But Silverstone wasn't just another race; it was their race, their home race. After Lando's practice sessions in Monaco, she had moved to Bath to stay with his family. It was the logical choice with Lando busy preparing for his comeback, and it kept her closer to Silverstone, avoiding unnecessary travel. The team had ensured every precaution for the race day, with a medical team on standby and a nearby hospital ready to assist. Knowing she had the support of Lando's parents, his brother and sisters, and her own father made her feel even more secure about her decision.

This race marked Lando's remarkable return after his crash, and it meant everything to her to be by his side, even if only from the sidelines. She had seen the grit and determination it took for him to get here—grueling rehabilitation, quiet moments of doubt, and the unwavering resolve that defined him. Despite the discomfort of her swollen belly and the occasional ache in her back, she couldn't imagine being anywhere else.

The paddock buzzed with familiar faces and warm wishes. Fans greeted her with smiles, and team members stopped to offer congratulations and check on her well-being. Moving slowly through the bustling crowd, Rose kept one hand instinctively resting on her belly, the subtle kicks of her baby grounding her amidst the noise. Every so often, she paused to catch her breath or lean against a railing, and someone was always nearby to ensure she was comfortable.

Finding a shaded corner of the hospitality area, Rose settled into a seat as team members brought her water and snacks. Nearby, Lando's parents chatted with her father, while his siblings laughed over something on their phones. The familiar hum of activity around her brought a sense of comfort.

Pride for Lando swelled in her chest, though it was tempered by a flicker of worry she couldn't quite suppress. Watching him return to the car, knowing everything he had endured to get back here, filled her with both admiration and nerves. She tapped her fingers lightly on the table, her rhythm betraying her tension even as she smiled at his family's banter.

The baby kicked again, a reminder of the new life they were about to welcome. Despite everything—the uncertainty, the physical discomfort, and the emotional weight of the moment—Rose felt a deep sense of peace. Silverstone was a part of their journey, and she was right where she needed to be.

Rose sat on the couch, her feet propped up, scrolling through her phone while the soft hum of the paddock noise filtered through the open door. Lando walked in, still in his racing suit, unzipped to his waist, and flopped down beside her with a tired sigh.

"You're supposed to be resting," he teased, nudging her knee lightly.

"I am resting," she replied, smirking. "Feet up, water in hand. Perfect patient."

He chuckled, leaning back and letting his head rest on the couch. "You've got all of them wrapped around your finger, you know that? Every team member checking on you, my mum practically hovering..."

"Well, I am carrying your child," she said, raising an eyebrow. "Might as well enjoy the perks while I can."

Lando grinned and reached over, placing a hand gently on her belly. "I think they just like you more than me."
