"We can't do this, Jihoon," Chan smacks the stack of blank white sheet on the floor of theater room and stares at his class president in pure disbelief, "This is practically impossible."
"I know." The class president calmly picks up the pages scattered on the ground, his expressions neutral, "But we are doing drama since teacher Yoon came, I think we should give it a try this year as well."
"But teacher Yoon was always there to help us." The best performer of the class interrupted, "We can't even decide the theme without him, forget about whole drama."
"Let's not do this, Jihoon." Yuqi says, the annoyance of the acceptance of not being enough already lingering on her face, "Can't we skip this show for once? Without teacher Yoon, this seems like beating a dead horse."
"We'll get in trouble." Jihoon calmly explains, "You know how Mr. Park is, right? He is out there telling everyone how arrogant and conceited class A is. It's like he is hell bent on proving that we aren't doing the drama because Teacher Yoon's absence had turned us into selfish brats."
Yuqi apparently was not having it at all, "From when we started caring about what Mr. Park had to say?"
"Exactly!" Chan was quick to agree, "Mr. Park will find a needle on our seat and tell the whole school how we have degraded the reputation of Pledis High by it. It's not even that deep."
"And when exactly was the last time he said anything good for us?" When it came to proving their points, Chan and Yuqi were always there being the lawyer of the class and presenting the perfect arguments, "Teacher Yoon always used to tell us not to take him seriously."
Even Minghao chuckles and adds, "He said Mr. Park was a barking dog outside the street. And we don't care how much a dog barks, Jihoon."
"Fine." The shorter knew there was no use of taking or trying to pursue them for something that was not going to happen. They were right, drama was literally out of their league in absence of their homeroom teacher.
But a part of Jihoon still wanted to give it a shot, "We are already in theater room though, it won't hurt to give it a try, right?" He looked up at the pale faced Seungkwan, "Our dear performer, any idea you have that can pass as a plot for drama?"
"I don't know." Seungkwan silently adds, not really sure if his answer was of any help to Jihoon, "I mean, I just know we need to keep it simple and logical, that's it. We can't risk with something big, if we are planning on doing it, only then."
"How about we try those stories from our childhood? You know the fairy tale types?"
"If by any chance anyone of you fell off the cable while flying in your fairy tales, remember, it will then be you and your upcoming unattended exams in which you are going to fail."
"He is so pessimistic, totally my type."
"You remember that monkey and crocodile story? The one where they are friends and the crocodile's wife wants to eat monkey's heart?" The confirmation was done the very next second, "It was heart right?"
And if anybody knew about it, they just didn't care to clear the confusion.
"We'll need to create water for it."
"We can use cardboard, can't we?"
"And the crocodile swimming, how will we even show that?"
"Let's first decide who'll become crocodile for it." Jihoon's eyes gazes around, landing on no one but Chan, "You'll become crocodile, what's say?"
"I ain't gonna be a loser." Chan was firmly against that arrangement, "And if I became one, I need to eat that monkey's heart for the sake of my ego and self respect, that's it."
