V went to where her instincts first told her to go. Uz's place. Her wings felt tired and heavy as she flew. Her claws were stained in oil. Upon the horizon she saw a blur, and as she got closer it turned into the familiar door. She swiftly landed, her feet crushing the snow beneath her. She pulled the keycard Uzi gave her and swiped it along the lock. She was instantly greeted by Khan doorman himself. "What do you want now?" He muttered, an uncertain expression upon his face. V didn't understand why he didn't trust her yet. She visited here almost every single day and have been for almost a year. "I'm going to see Uzi." She crossed her arms. Khan eyed her oil-stained claws. One of them was damaged, and in the process of healing, which was why she was unable to put them away. He sighed, and stepped aside so she could go in.

She spread her wings and began to fly again. Her wings felt heavier than before. She took lazy glances at the other buildings that dotted the area. She soon reached her destination, landing on the roof. She crept her way along. She could have used the door, but that was boring. She was practically hanging upside down now, her tail keeping her balanced, as she reached Uzi's room's window. She could see Uzi wearing a pair of headphones. She knocked on the window. Uzi of course didn't hear her. She knocked again. This time she did hear her, and her expression of surprise made V chuckle. She made her way to the window and opened it. "What are you doing on my roof?" She shouted at her. V just laughed, the happiness she felt momentarily lifted the searing pain of cuts and scratches on her body. She thought she caught a glimpse of blush along Uzi's visor. Uzi scowled, swiftly grabbing V's arm and pulled her in. V stumbled and fell to the ground with a thump. She hissed slightly as she got up.

"So, what are you doing here- you usually text me or something before..." Uzi said, her voice filled with concern.

V paused, briefly forgetting what happened earlier.

Uzi seemed to notice her expression change.

Uzi looked at her for a moment, and gasped.

"V- your covered in cuts!" Uzi hurriedly went to her side.

V grimaced as Uzi took her arm in her hands. She examined the wounds.

"What happened?"

"I... don't want to talk about it."

"Cmon, V..."

"Why do you even care?"

"Because I care about you!" Uzi's tone was a lot louder than it was meant to be, judging by how surprised she looked.

V felt her visor heating up.

Okay, there definitely was blush on Uzi's visor now.

Awkward silence.

It became even more awkward when V's tail began lightly swaying, increasing in speed overtime.

The feeling was worse now, her heart felt like it skipped a beat, a series of butterflies rising up in her stomach.

"Sorry...I'm just...worried." Uzi sighed.

"You know what...it might help me feel better if we do talk about it." V said.

They both got up and sat on Uzi's bed.

They sat facing each other.

Uzi reached out and grabbed both of V's hands, showing her support.

V's breathing momentarily hitched.

She couldn't stop her tail from swaying.

V then began to explain everything,

What happened between her and J.

She couldn't bring herself to look at Uzi during the conversation.

She finished explaining.

She was met with silence.

Then she was met with warmth. Uzi pulled her into a hug. They stayed like that for a moment.

V felt the sensation of tears in her eyes.

Even if she couldn't shed real tears, they streaked down her visor anyway.

"V..."'

They both continued to hug.

"Here, how about we watch a movie and get something to eat? That will make you feel a bit better."
