Kris was sitting over by the office on a bench, alone, at lunch, debating about what to do about this whole situation, when Thomas came up to her.
"Hey Kris, I was talking to Colby earlier..." Thomas started
Kris interrupted him immediately, "Hey! You leave him alone! He already told me all about it. He was telling the truth! But you just couldn't believe that for once he got the girl and not you."
"He didn't get the girl though.... You're MY girlfriend,"Thomas said a tad startled at Kris.
"Not anymore! I don't date jerks! So cry yourself a river, build a bridge, and the hell over it!" Kris yelled at Thomas.
"Wait! So thats it? Just because I didn't believe him, you're done with me?" Asked Thomas trying to be understanding.
"Ya. Well, kinda.... I was probably going to dump you anyway..."Kris confessed.
"Why?" Now Thomas was curious.
"Well, today when Colby told me his feelings, I had a MILLION thoughts running through my head. One of them was 'When did Colby get so hot?' " Explained Kris. "But hey, let's face it, I've been chasing you for seven years."
Thomas interrupted, "well he's been chasing you for ten!"
"I know...but it's different with him,"Kris was trying to sugar coat it.
"How!?" Thomas was now confused.
"Because, you NEVER liked me, but when I got all 'beautiful' you suddenly fell for me. Colby, however, liked me for ME. You just date girls for their looks and big junk, which is included in looks I guess...." Kris still explaining and trying to pull the trigger slowly, "Look, it's been fun, but I'm done. Goodbye."
"Cmon, I want another chance! I promise I'll apologize to Colby and we'll become buddies again," Thomas was trying to sway Kris back into his arms.
"That's not why I'm upset, but I would appreciate it if you did that. I'm upset because I don't like you! Ok? You got that? I'm attracted to Colby! I'm sorry, Thomas, but bye," Kris slowly walked away with Thomas calling after her.
"See yah later?" Thomas asked.
There was nothing but silence. Kris had left to go meet Kylie so they can walk to 5th period math together.
