Tough Love

Chapter Twelve

Kris felt kinda bad about this whole thing but in her defense, he was practically forcing her to do it to him.  Kris was VERY happy with Colby, he was the best thing that ever happened to her.  So you can't blame a girl for falling in love with the perfect guy, she can't control it.  Take that as a lesson to all you that judge who people like.
Anyway, the weekend came and went, as soon as it started it was over and Kris had to go back to school. 
In the quad that sunny Monday morning, Kris snuck up on Colby and jumped on his back.  He was startled, but they laughed it off as he gave her a piggyback ride. 
Thomas was glaring at them from a distance.  Colby noticed the glaring, and stopped.
"What's wrong?" Kris asked confused, but soon realized what it was,"oh...."
"Ya.... Um, let's just turn around and keep going," Colby suggested.
"Ok," Kris agreed as they laughed around the quad as happy as could be.
Soon the bell rang, and play time was over. 
"Aww," Kris wailed, getting off Colby's back.
"I know, I wish it wasn't over either," Colby said, putting his hands on her waist.
Kris knew what he was doing.  He did this quite often, it meant he leaning in for a kiss.  Kris absolutely LOVED it when Colby did this to her.
She took the bait and put her hands on his shoulders.  They leaned in, and sparks flew! Ok, not really, but you get it. 
They felt like they were the only ones in the world. As they pulled apart (rather slowly), Thomas passed them with a frown on his face, then rudely bumped into Colby's shoulder.  Hard.  Colby just ignored it, and said goodbye to Kris.
You could tell that Thomas was still pissed and needed something to use against Kris for blackmail.  But what if he found something to use against Colby, to make him breakup with Kris?  After all, Colby used to be his best friend.
