December 25, [10:39 A.M]
The company had not been given a day off unless they were traveling to family, which was mostly only employees, and not heads.
The only head who had gone to see family was Lee Felix.
Recently, as long as Chan was with Jeongin, he felt safe. Relieved. Something, there was something there that made Chan okay with letting Jeongin in.
He had been venting more to him and getting to know him more, and vice versa.
Sort of.
The company, or Hyunjin and Changbin, were throwing a party for Christmas. The office in which they had meetings was decorated quite a bit, but the entire building looked like this, too.
When Chan walked in the building, he immediately set his eyes on Jeongin, who's hair had bits of confetti (wherever that came from) and garland.
Jeongin saw him and his smile became even bigger, running over to Chan.
"Chan hyung, Chan hyung, Chan hyung, Minho and Jisung- lookkk they're so cute together!" Jeongin said, pointing at...
Minho and Jisung, yes.
But Chan was... more or less jealous?
Jealous of what?
They, however, were lost in their own world, feeding each other pizza and giggling.
I didn't know they were together.
"Oh, aw," Chan said, dissapointment evident in his voice.
"Something wrong?"
"Nah, I'm just tired, I didn't get a lot of sleep last night," Chan lied. Well, it wasn't a lie, he really hadn't got that much sleep last night, but still.
There was something else.
I want what they have.
The rest of the day, Chan was pretty quiet unless he had to pretend he was happy and okay. Eventually, six p.m rolled around, and everyone went home. Fortunately, Jeongin was told to shoo all the late-stayers and lock the building.
But as everyone left, Chan stayed right where he was, his stuff already put away in his bag.
"Chan? We have to go, we can't really, er, stay," Jeongin said quietly, at the door.
Chan didn't move.
"Chan hyung? Oh, Chan hyung!" Jeongin put his bag down, rushing over to Chan.
Chan could only guess that Jeongin had figured out how his silent panic attacks worked.
