"So, you seriously dont remember us?" The short girl asked. Lucy shook her head and then bit her lip, trying to make the pain in her head subside. "Im Lauren, you've met Joe and Jaime, thats Meredith, thats Joey, thats Brian, thats Dylan, this is Liam, this is Clark, this is Mark, and that's Don." Lauren said, pointing to various people. "... And how do you guys know me again?" Lucy asked. "You work at a pancake house that we went to this morning..." Joe said. "And how do I know you guys?" She asked. "Liam, get the DVDs." Lauren said.
Lucy sat quietly through the DVDs, but laughed at things that were funny. She laughed when Lauren rolled around on the floor, and when a boy who's name was Darren started singing to a dragon puppet. She also laughed at almost every joke in a play where Joe played Joey's genetals, and she laughed at Brian in the sequel to the first play she watched. She laughed at Meredith, who was pretending to be a robot, and Dylan, who was acting like an idiot.
"So, what did you think?" Joe asked, turning off the TV in the corner of the room. "Uhm... Darn, whats the expression? That was TOTALLY AWESOME!" Lucy said, pretending to play stupid. Everyone clapped. "So, wait, why am I here again?" Lucy asked. Joe sighed. "Well, we were all walking down Broadway, the main street here in Nashville, and we walked past this alley, and I saw you with your arms up and a guy holding something up to your head... So, I shouted something and ran up behind him and punched him in the face, and then everyone crouded around you, and you blacked out and hit your head on like a rock or something... So we brought you here." Joe breathed. Lucy looked around at the people surrounding her. "So, I lost my memory?" Lucy asked. "The doctor said it may never come back... and we sort of forgot your purse..." Joey said, rubbing the back of his head. "So... What will I do? I dont remember anything about where I live, or if I live with anyone, or who my parents are, or where Im from..." Lucy said, tears forming in her eyes. "But, we know where you work." Don said, a smile forming on his face.
~THE NEXT MORNING~
"Yeah, I know her. But she never share anything about herself. I have no clue where she live, what her last name is, or who she live with." A Chinese lady, whose nametag said Brenda, said to the group. "Well, the owner would know, right?" Joe asked. "Owner dead. Owner been dead for two month." She said, flipping a pancake. Lucy sat down and started to tear up. "No, dont cry, sweety..." Jaime said soothingly, sliding into the booth next to her. "It'll be okay." She said, giving Lucy a hug. ''How do you know that?'' Lucy asked, focusing her teary eyes on her legs. "We'll help. Wont we?" Jaime asked. Everyone nodded and gave warm smiles. "Thanks, but I honestly dont know how you guys could help." Lucy said sadly. Meredith looked up at Lucy and smiled devilishly.
