"Hai." Lauren said. "Lauren... Can I talk to you?" Joe asked. "Anything you have to say to me you can say in front of Lucy. If you murder me I want there to be witnesses." Lauren stated, her hand still over Lucy's mouth. "Funny. Get out here." He ordered. Lauren rolled over Lucy and followed Joe out into the back of the bus, leaving Lucy to panic in Lauren's bunk. She could hear faint voices from the back of the bus.

"Lauren, how did you know I... have a thing for Lucy."

"I have my ways."

"Tell me."

"Well.... Wewerecroutcheddownbehindthewallatthelasertagplaceandweheardyouandholdentalkingandweheardyousayitdonthitme!" Lauren said, not taking a breath.

"... Run that by me again?" Joe asked.

"We heard you talking to Holden."

"Oh..."

"Oh?"

"I kind of didnt want her to find out..."

"Welp, too late for that."

Then Joe said some words I'd rather not repeat, and I heard the door slide open.

Soon Lauren was climbing back into the bunk next to Lucy.

"Where's Joe?" Lucy asked. "I dunno," Lauren replied, "He probably got embarassed and went back to his bunk." Lucy shrugged. "Im sleeping here tonight, just so you know." Lucy said. "Fine by me, but fair warning, I might kick you off the bed at some point."

The next morning, when Lucy woke, Lauren was gone, and the bus was eerily quiet. Lucy rolled out of the bunk, then made her way to the front of the bus, seeing Don and Liam sitting at the table eating doughnuts and drinking coffee. "Where is everyone?" Lucy asked. Liam looked up, a rather worried expression on his face. "They all went out to find Joe... He snuck out last night, and he left his phone here, so we couldnt call him... We were put in charge of watching the bus."

Lucy felt every muscle in her body stiffen. "Shit."
