'Our precious treasure',
was a bl Novel written by an unknown author, who enjoyed making the reader feel pity for his characters.
The shortened version for this book goes like this:

In the opulent kingdom of Virostra, Elliot Lucian Celestan was born the only son of Queen Marcia, raised with dignity but bound by expectations.

Elliot once met Duke Cassian Michaelis Belamour, a celebrated warrior and the kingdom’s brightest hope, and fell in love with him. At eighteen, during his coming-of-age ceremony, Elliot was finally betrothed to Cassian.

But what could have been a union of strength became a tale of unrequited love and heartbreak.
Elliot chased his aloof fiancé through the vast halls of the Belamour palace, trying to earn even a fraction of his attention.

But Cassian, driven by his ambition to become a legendary commander, had no interest in love or marriage.
He saw Elliot not as a partner but as a chain, a reminder of the kingdom and its shackles.

His disdain manifested in cruel words, cold glances, and even blows that Elliot endured with silent tears.
Despite everything, Elliot forgave him, always believing Cassian’s heart would someday soften.

Cassian’s fame grew as a ruthless warrior. He led armies into bloody battles, earning a reputation for his unflinching courage. But his exploits left Elliot in constant worry.

Each time Cassian left for the frontlines, Elliot’s prayers for his safety went unheard. Cassian ignored him, dismissing his concern as meddlesome, even striking him on occasion when his patience wore thin.

Still, Elliot remained steadfast, his love unbroken.

Years passed, and Cassian embarked on the ultimate challenge: the Abyssal Dungeon, a labyrinth of monsters and peril with a hundred stages.

For twenty-three years, Cassian and his team of elite raiders climbed through the dungeon, their bodies scarred by countless battles.
When they reached the 99th stage, they defeated its monstrous boss, though at great cost.

Cassian’s raid team retreated to heal, preparing for the final stage.

Among their spoils was a peculiar potion, said to fulfill the deepest desire of whoever drank it.
Cassian dismissed it as another trinket, far from the treasures they hoped to find on the dungeon’s final floor.
He left it in the infirmary, unconcerned with its potential.

That night, Elliot, plagued by nightmares of Cassian in peril, visited his fiancé’s quarters. Limping from the toll years of neglect had taken on his body, he knocked on Cassian’s door, hoping to warn him.

“Please, be careful,” he whispered, his voice trembling.
“What if the 100th stage holds something worse than you’ve ever faced?”
But Cassian, burdened by the upcoming raid and frustrated by Elliot’s presence, pushed him forcefully out of the room. Elliot fell, his fragile leg snapping under the weight of the fall.
Cassian didn’t spare him a second glance, assuming Elliot was exaggerating. Elliot tried to crawl away, but his strength faltered.

When Cassian’s trusted knight passed by, he sneered at the sight, believing Elliot was seeking attention.
Alone and broken, Elliot dragged himself to the stairs leading to his room.
Halfway down, he slipped, tumbling painfully until the mansion’s elderly butler caught him.

The butler, who had always pitied the neglected boy, because he was reminded of his own son, carried Elliot to his chambers and dressed his wounds.
He later informed Cassian of Elliot’s injury, but Cassian dismissed the concern.
After the butler tried pointing out that Elliot's bones might be unable to heal, Cassian wanted to explain to the butler, how Elliot just manipulated him and he didn't hurt himself at all.

By sending the supposed useless potion he just gained from the dungeon, Elliot was being tested.

"If he really wants his leg to heal, it will heal. After all, that's the potions effect. Then, you will see that his leg, which is 'apparently' broken, doesn't need any healing.
Instead, something else will happen.
Who knows, maybe his hair color will change, because I told him, I prefer brunettes" the Duke laughed nastily.
He sent the Butler away to fulfill his task.
