First Dance

Prompt: First Dance as husband and wife

Reece was stood at the end of the alter waiting for his bride to walk down the aisle and he couldn't wait to marry his true love, he played with his tie before feeling a hand on his shoulder and turned to see Winter who was his best man stood behind him "calm down, she is coming okay" he heard Winter say and he nodded his head before letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding and turned to face the officiant who nodded at him and he soon heard the opening of 'What a Wonderful World' playing and he turned to see his sister Autumn, Marjorie and Charlotte begin to walk down the aisle and saw their dresses were a dark green colour and they had dark navy roses in their hands as they walked down the aisle and he saw them stand up on the other side of him where his bride would stand and saw Autumn smile at him gently and soon he heard the song change to the song he knew his bride had chosen and heard the opening of 'How Long Will I Love You' but an acoustic version of the song was playing and much slower as well as the original and soon he saw his bride step into his view and saw you being walked down the aisle by your sister Sorscha and he felt his jaw drop when he saw your dress for the first and all he saw was a goddess walking towards him and the way your hair fell down your shoulders and the way the dress was off your shoulders and he saw it trail behind you on the floor and he saw you had dark navy roses with a mix of gold leaves in your hand and he couldn't take his eyes of you and he noticed Sorscha was wearing a female suit in a dark green colour and he could tell she was struggling to hold back her tears but he quickly put his eyes back on to you and took a step down the alter to meet you and took your hand in his and helped you up the few steps before seeing you hand your flowers to Autumn before turning to face him and saw you smile at him softly "hi" he heard you whisper to him "hi" he whispered back to you before hearing the officiant clear his throat and turned his attention to the officiant. Reece turned to face you and took both your hands in his own and felt you squeeze his hand gently which he returned just as gentle and heard "dearly beloved we are here today to witness Reece Knight and Y/N Doyle become one in holy matrimony before we begin does anyone here object to this couple" come from the witness and he let out a breath when he heard silence and saw you relax as well before hearing "this couple have decided to write their own vows for each other and we will start with Reece" come from the officiant and Reece took a breath before looking in your eyes before speaking "Y/N Doyle when I first met you I was stunned at your beauty but what truly captured my heart was your devotion to helping us and your need to put others before yourself, so today I make a promise to you in front of our friends and family and that promise is I vow that I will choose you every day, a million times over, not because I have to, but because I want to. Today is the day that we become one in many ways and I can't wait to see where out journey will take us and what our future will look like" he spoke softly to you but loud enough for everyone to hear him speak and he gently reached up to wipe your tears that had fell down your cheek and heard you take a breath before letting it out.

You were stood in front of Reece after hearing his vows and you felt him reach up to wipe the tears that had fallen without you realising and took a breath before letting it out when you realised it was your turn to say your vows "Y/N your vows" you heard the officiant say and you nod at him before looking up a Reece in the eyes "Reece Knight where do I even begin, we have been together for 3 years, that is 1095 days which is 26,280 hours which is 1,577,800 minutes which is a very long time for me to love you and today in front of our friends and family on the 23rd December 2024 I make my vow to you to be your wife and my vow to you my dear Reece is today, I take my place as your wife. May our days be long, and may they be seasoned with faith, love understanding and respect forever and ever. Today is the beginning of the rest of our lives. I choose to spend today, and all my tomorrows, with you. You are my heart's deepest wish that came to life, and I am eagerly looking forward to the unending future we will create together. I will support you in every venture, and I will never stop loving you" you say to him and could hear sniffles coming from your guests but you kept your focus on Reece and saw him try to hold back his tears at your words and you just squeezed his hand three times which you felt him return and you hear "now can we have the rings please and Reece do you take Y/N to be your wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer and in sickness and in health. Forsaking all others" come from the officiant and heard "I do" come from Reece and you held back a sob as Reece slipped your wedding ring on to your finger that he got from Winter before hearing "now Y/N do you take Reece  to be your husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer and in sickness and in health. Forsaking all others" come from the officiant this time and you swallowed the sob that was threatening to come out and said "I do" clearly and saw Reece smile wide at your answer as you slipped his wedding ring on his finger that you got from Autumn. You smiled softly at Reece and heard "I'm happy to announce for the first time Mr and Mrs Knight, Reece you may kiss your bride" come from the officiant before feeling Reece pull you towards him and felt him dip you down before feeling him smash his lips on your own lips which caused you to melt into and closed your eyes before feeling him stand you up on your feet again before breaking the kiss and rested your head against his own, you felt Reece guide you down the aisle to your exit song which was ' What A Wonderful World' and you both walked down the aisle hand in hand as husband and wife for the first time and exited out the doors before seeing your bridesmaids and Reeces groomsman/woman exit after you followed by your guests who had come to greet you before leaving to the reception area that was next door and you heard "AAH my baby sister is married" come from Sorscha and you felt her pull you in for a hug that you relaxed into briefly before letting go and moved back to Reece who you felt wrap an arm around your waist and you relaxed into him before hearing "congratulations brother, Y/N your vows to each other were truly magical" come from Autumn and you smiled at her knowing she wasn't a big fan of showing emotion and you smiled up at Reece before feeling him kiss your lips gently.

Reece watched as yours and his friends make their way to the reception area whilst he kept you back so he could have you for himself for moment and gently pulled you outside before you are expected to attend the reception party "Reece where are we going" he heard you say and he guided you outside to the garden area "what are we doing Reece" he heard you say to him a few seconds later and he stopped in the middle of the rose garden that the venue had and gently pulled you towards him before gently swaying you around the garden to some invisible tune that only he could hear and felt you rest against him "I wanted to have a moment of quiet before joining our party" he whispered to you and felt you nod against his chest before feeling you wrap your arms around his neck and saw you look up at him and he spun you gently round the garden in little waltz before hearing you hum the tune of 'Once upon a Dream' from Sleeping Beauty which he knew was your favourite film to watch and had made him watch it a million times in the last 3 years. As Reece gently guided you around the garden whilst you hummed the tune he thought back to the first date he had took you on which ended up with you both dancing in the rain and then on your first date as boyfriend and girlfriend he took you dancing which ended up with you kissing as you danced for the first time and he thought this moment was like that but your first private waltz as husband and wife which he couldn't believe that you were his wife and he gently picked you up and spun you around before placing you on the ground again and carried on dancing slowly and he flet you play with the hair on the base of his neck and heard "this reminds me of out first date but without the rain" come from you softly and he let out a little chuckle "I think you were in my mind because I was think the same thing" he said to you which he heard you chuckle at before hearing you hum 'Some Day My Prince Will Come' and he chuckled at the tune knowing you called him your prince or knight in shining armour and he continued to sway with you before feeling something land on his head and he looked up to see it was snowing softly and he looked down to see you looking up at the snow as it fell down around you and him before he notice you shiver slightly from the snow touching your bare shoulders and he stopped dancing for a moment before taking of his jacket and placed it over your shoulders before carrying on dancing around the garden with you in his arms.

You let Reece guide you around in a waltz whilst you hummed different tunes that reminded you off Reece as you danced before feeling something land on you softly and you looked up to see Reece also looking up and you noticed it was snowing softly as you both danced around the garden and you saw Reece look down at you before feeling him stop dancing and you watched as he took of his suit jacket before feeling him place it around your bare shoulders before feeling him carry on dancing with you which caused you to smile at him before continuing to waltz around the garden and you stared up at him as he stared down at you before standing up on your tippy toes and gave him a soft kiss on the lips whilst it snowed around you and felt him return the kiss which made you deepen it slightly and you felt him tighten his grip on your waist as you kissed but you just slowly broke the kiss and rested your forehead against his and let the snow fall around you both and let yourself get lost in the moment "now that is one way to recreate our first date as husband and wife isn't it Mrs Knight" you hear him say softly and you chuckled at his words "certainly is Mr Knight" you say to him and saw him smile at you before feeling him place another kiss on your lips before feeling him carry on dancing around with you in his arms as you kissed before you broke it and started to hum 'So This is Love' from Cinderella as you danced for a few minutes before slowly stopping when you heard "are you both joining your party" come from the doorway and you looked over to see Sorscha stood there with a smile on her face "sorry we got lost in our little bubble" you say to her and slowly walk back over to her with Reece before turning to Sorscha "we will meet you in there promise" you say to her and see her nod before walking away from you both and you turned to Reece "I loved that so much and it was out first dance as husband and wife but what made it more special is that it was just us out there" you say to him and see him smile at you with a soft smile and saw him nod at you "you are correct Mrs Knight, that out there will always be our first dance" you heard him say and you gave him one last kiss before feeling him guide you to the wedding reception.
