First Meeting

You walked up the steps of your little brothers nursery to collect him and entered the code to the building and walked towards the toddler room that he was in before entering the room to see his teacher Sorscha look over to you when you walked in "hi Sorscha" you say to her and bend down to catch Jamie when we ran towards you when he had noticed you "go get your stuff buddy" you say to him and let him run and go get his stuff "how has he been today Sorscha" you ask Sorscha when you stood back up and saw her smile at you "he's been grand, he has some art work in his bag to take home but overall he has had a good day and has been excited for his big sister to come to collect him" you heard Sorscha say and you smile down at Jamie "well you have me all weekend buddy and I will be dropping you off on Monday as well" you say to him and saw him start to bounce around round with excitement before turning back to Sorscha "I'll see you Monday Sorscha and have a nice weekend" you say to her before taking hold of Jamies hand and left the building with him. Exiting the building you look down at Jamie "since mummy isn't home for a while how about we go get a treat" you say to him before leading him to your car and unlocked it, opening the car you lifted Jamie in to his car seat that you had in your car before fastening him in to the seat and ruffled his hair which got a laughter from him "sissy" you heard Jamie ask you and look at him "yeah buddy" you say to him with a smile and saw him return the smile "what treat we get" you heard him ask and you shrugged your shoulders at him "what do you want" you ask him and saw his eyes go wide before hearing "ice cream" coming from him and you nodded at him "that's settled then" you say before closing the door and climbing into the front seat and set off to the nearest ice cream shop, whilst driving you put on the radio before hearing "your songs sissy" come from the backseat and you quickly put your music on before hearing your voice come through the speaker "there you go buddy" you say and tried to ignore your voice and listen to Jamie trying to sing "hey buddy, you want to hear a new one, you will be the first person to hear it" you ask him a few minutes later and looked into the rear view mirror and saw him nod at you "yeah sissy" you heard him say and you quickly put it on and let him listen to it.

You concentrated on the road whilst driving with your song playing and heard "sissy sing it now" come from Jamie and you nod before restarting the song and waited for the beginning to start "Waking up to shadows, fading light, Heart is heavy, feels like I'm losing sight. Arriving home you climb out the car and walked round to get Jamie out the car and carried him into the house, placing Jamie on the couch and covering him with a blanket you found on the back of the couch before walking into the kitchen and started to make dinner for everyone but knew your mum would eat later with you but wanted to get Jamie settled for the evening and made a simple chicken dinner, thirty minutes later you heard movement in the living room and you had just finished plating up Jamies dinner before seeing him walk in to the kitchen "hey buddy, you hungry" you ask him and placed his plate on the table before picking him up and putting him in his chair "yeah sissy" you heard him say and you bent down to give his forehead a kiss before passing him is little fork and sat next to him "we will go get ice cream tomorrow buddy since you fell asleep" you say to him and helped him stab a piece of veg before letting him eat on his own and saw him nod his head at you "sissy how long you here" you heard him ask you which made you let out a sigh "just for the weekend buddy, then I go after dropping you at nursery with mummy but then I will be back for longer next time, we will mark it on the calendar later" you say to him and saw him pout at you which you copied "I know buddy, but I have to work" you say to him softly "me and mummy come one day" you heard Jamie ask and you smiled at him "I'll speak to mummy" you say to not get his hopes up that he could come watch you perform "otay sissy" you hear Jamie say and you watch him finish his dinner before taking his plate away from him and putting it in the sink to be washed later.
