As the group gre closer and closer, they began to open up to each other. Out of the blue one day, Lana decided to tell them what she'd been wondering the whole time.
"What do you guys think of me?"
The group, clearly confused, mumbled "what" and things like "elaborate."
So she explained further how she wanted know what the group actually thought of her as a person, and how she felt.
So they did.
"I think you're really nice and caring."
"You're sweet."
"I love you."
And so on.
She just sighed, because none of them even caught a drift of the truth about who she truly was. So finally she told them. "Guys... I really need to tell you this. I'm a world famous bank robber."
Expecting disgust, she sighed and began packing her things, getting ready to leave and run again. She was tired of running.
"That's hella cool"
She looked up surprised. The voice belonged to Chris, who was staring at her in fascination. He had never met someone so badass. In fact, most of the people he knew were quiet people who were obsessed with indie films. They constantly teased him for liking such a mainstream actor, especially one that was a teenage heart throb. But he just thought he was a good actor. So he had come to the cafe alone to escape his friends and enjoy the film without the teasing.
Lana had come to the cafe as an escape. Just the day before she had broken into a small local museum and stolen just a few jewels, enough to keep her supported for the next few months. Because she hadn't left town yet, she decided to lie low and go to the small cafe, instead of her usual fancy restruant. She didn't regret it, and had in fact been putting off leaving town to talk with this group every day.
"Really?" she asked, hopeful to finally have friends who knew the truth.
"Yes, it is."
The rest of the group mumbled in agreement. Most of them didn't mind. If anything, they were curious.
She explained to them about past heists while they listened in rapture. She enjoyed the attention, but liked the friendship they had formed even more. She even convinced them to join her on her next robbery.
DUN DUN DUN idk whats going to happen next but it needed a plot twist. Get better soon Lana.
