Ally's POV
Chapter Three
"Harry we are back!" I yelled while walking into Harry's house.
Kenny quickly let go of my hand and started running around the house. He always loved being here. Harry's house had a lot more space than the tiny loft Kendall and I lived in had.
I closed the door and walked into the kitchen. Harry was leaning against the tall marble cabinets reading a piece of paper.
"What's that?" I asked while walking towards him.
"Huh?" He asked, lowering the paper to look at me. "Oh this is nothing," he quickly folded the paper and placed it in his pocket.
"Are you okay?" I asked. This wasn't how Harry usually acted. He seemed so secretive and distant these past few days. It was driving me insane.
"Well I kind of need to tell you something," he said.
"Go ahead. You know you can tell me anything," I gave him a comforting smile.
"Okay, but keep an open mind about all of this though. I don't want to upset you or anything."
"Spit it out Harry."
"I might have an opportunity to get a record deal."
"What? Harry that's great! This is perfect!" I threw my arms over his broad shoulders and gave him a hug.
Why would he be afraid to tell me that? He loved singing. He had an amazing voice. This was good for him. He could finally live his dream.
"I got offered to be in a band," he said.
"A band? With who?" I asked while breaking the hug and standing in front of him.
"Well so far there's four other guys. I don't know everyone's names yet. Actually, I haven't met all of them yet."
"Oh? So who have you met?"
"Well...you know...Niall," he said before running his hand nervously through his thick, messy curls.
"Niall?"
"Ally I know you don't like him but please don't be mad at me. I need this," he pleaded.
"I'm not mad. This is your big break. I'm not going to stand in the way of your dreams," I tried to say confidently.
"Ally you are the best," he grinned before hugging me.
We went into the living room and sat on the couch. We were watching Kenny play until someone knocked lightly on the door before walking inside.
"Hey Harry I forgot my wallet here I th-" he stopped when he saw Kenny playing on the floor.
He stared at Kenny for a moment before looking over at me. "I didn't know you had a family already lad," Niall said.
"This is my friend's kid," Harry said calmly.
I could feel my hands shaking. This wasn't supposed to happen. He won't recognize me. He won't recognize me.
"Oh my bad. Sorry," Niall slowly got on his knees to talk to Kenny.
He couldn't talk to Kenny. There was no way I could let that happen. I tried to stand up but Harry placed his hand in front of me so I couldn't.
"Harry stop," I whispered furiously.
"Shh," he urged, moving his gaze back to Niall and Kenny.
"Hey little one. I'm Niall Horan," He stuck his hand out to shake Kenny's.
"Horan? My name is Kendall Horan!" Kenny said excitedly.
Niall slowly stood up. He looked at Kenny, obviously confused.
"C'mon Kenny. We have to go now," I said quickly. I managed to push Harry's arm away and grab Kenny.
"But mommy I just made a friend," Kenny complained.
"Ally wait. You need to tell Niall," Harry said before grabbing my forearm.
"Tell me what? What's going on?" Niall asked.
I shook my head no. I didn't need to tell anyone anything. I needed to leave before Niall finally pieced everything together. I had to leave. Now.
"Ally. Do it for Kendall," Harry said softly.
I sighed and nodded. There was no escaping anything now. Maybe it was time Kenny and Niall knew.
"Take Kenny somewhere else," I whispered to Harry.
He nodded and grabbed Kenny's hand. "C'mon buddy." Harry took Kendall into the kitchen.
"So how have you been?" I tried to ask causally.
"Cut it out Ally. What's going on?" He gave me a hateful look.
I sighed. "Well...that little boy is your son," I said slowly.
He stared at me for a moment in shock. "I had a kid and you didn't even bother telling me? What the hell is wrong with you?" He asked loudly.
"I couldn't tell you," I said quietly.
I flinched when he moved his face towards mine. "Why couldn't you tell me?" He asked bitterly
"It was too late. You already left," I told him.
"You mean you already left," He said.
"When I found out you were already gone," I whispered.
He sighed and ran his hand through his hair. "Go get him," He finally said.
"No," I answered.
"Excuse me? I said go get him. You've already kept him away from me this long," He said rudely.
"He is fine without you. I don't want you around him."
"Too bad. That's not just your decision. He is my child too."
"I know what's best for him."
"Go get him right now. Don't make me bring the law into this. I'll sue you for custody over him. I have the money, which means good lawyers. Which we all know in the end means I will get him," He said flatly.
"You wouldn't," I said quickly.
"Try me," he smirked.
He wasn't lying. I didn't want Kendall to meet him though. I stayed away from him for a reason. I didn't have any other choice though. It was finally time for my little Kenny to meet his father.
