Ally's POV
Chapter Two
I watched Harry and Kenny, who were in the kitchen preparing the ice-cream. I didn't know what I would do without Harry. He was always there for Kenny and me. Especially Kenny. He was basically the only fatherly figure Kenny had, but I wasn't arguing. Harry had always been good with kids, and thankfully Harry had taken Kenny under his wing.
"Mommy mommy help!" Kenny laughed.
Harry was tossing Kenny in the air. Kenny was laughing away, having the time of his life.
I giggled and stood up. I made my way into the kitchen and leaned against the doorway. I watched them play around until Harry finally put him down.
"Come get some ice-cream mommy," Kenny laughed while grabbing my hand and walking back towards Harry.
"Your mother could never resist chef Harry's homemade ice-cream," Harry grinned while handing me a bowl.
"Oh no chef Harry makes the best store bought ice-cream," I said sarcastically.
Harry stuck his tongue out at me before scooping Kenny up in his arms and walking out of the kitchen. I laughed and followed them into the living room.
Harry and I sat on the couch, both watching Kenny jump around and things along the line of that. Giving him ice-cream late at night wasn't the best idea. Harry and I learned that the hard way.
"Okay Kenny time for bed," I finally said, standing up from the couch and walking over to him.
"But mommy i'm not tired," he said crossing his arms and puffing his lips out.
"Maybe not but mommy and Harry are so oh well," I told him before picking him up.
"You guys can have my room tonight. The guest room is basically my storage room now," Harry said while walking towards his room.
"Are you sure Harry?" I asked.
"Of course i'm sure. Now get to bed you two," He said while opening his bedroom door and motioning us to go inside.
"Stay here with Harry so mommy can go change clothes, okay." I placed Kenny on Harry's bed and grabbed the clothes that Harry held out for me.
I quickly walked towards the bathroom. I slipped on the sweats and t-shirt Harry let me borrow. I stared at myself in the mirror for a moment before returning back into the bedroom.
I stopped at the doorway, watching Harry and Kenny.
"Who's that?" Kenny asked while pointing towards a picture on Harry's bedside table.
"That," he said before reaching for the picture frame. "That is my family. That's my mum. That's my sister. And that's my dad," Harry said slowly, pointing to each person on the picture.
Kenny reached for the picture frame and placed it in his lap. "I wish I had a daddy," He said while staring at the picture.
I sighed. I couldn't even count how many times Kenny asked about his father. I never did give him an answer to any of the questions though. I would always change the subject. He didn't need to know anything yet. He was too young.
"Don't be upset. You have a daddy. He's just not here right now," Harry said sweetly to Kenny before pulling him into a hug.
I made my way to the bed and sat beside them. "Then where is he?" Kenny sniffed.
Harry looked over at me, unsure what to say. "I don't know yet Kenny," I finally answered quietly.
Kenny looked over at me, still in Harry's arms. "Can Harry be my daddy?" He asked, his bright blue eyes shining.
I laughed quietly. "That's not how things work baby. C'mon let's go to bed," I told him while opening my arms.
Kenny stumbled into my arms. I placed him on the right side of the bed. I slowly ran my fingers through his hair, trying to help him fall asleep. Thankfully, it didn't take long. Within a few minutes, he was finally asleep.
"Well i'll leave you two alone now. Goodnight Ally," Harry said before kissing my cheek and turning to walk away.
I grabbed his forearm to stop him. "Thanks for everything Harry. I really appreciate everything you do for me and Kenny," I told him before letting go.
"I would do anything for you two," he smiled before walking towards the door. "I also don't see anything wrong with me becoming Kenny's dad either," he added before leaving the room.
