Addison had said no makeovers. So what's the one thing her friends do? Give her a makeover. Well, it was kind of a makeover. They didn't force her to wear a dress or a short skirt, and she got to keep her type of style. But Noelle was insistent on the fact that Addison could not wear baggy band T-shirts, which was practically Addison's entire wardrobe. She was always self-conscious about her body and didn't like wearing tight fitting shirts.
So when she walked into the senior lounge on Tuesday morning she felt extremely uncomfortable. The night before, Addison's three friends had raided Skye's closet, searching for clothes for her to wear. Adrienne had found a pair of black skinny jeans, something similar to what Addison would normally wear except they were dreadfully tight. Addison was struggling to breathe in them. Noelle pushed Addison to wear a red tube top; Addison never hated her friend more in her entire life. Skye found a black leather jacket for her to wear so that she wasn't violating the dress code. Thankfully the three girls let Addison wear her black high tops she wore the day before, although the fact that she and Skye had different shoe sizes might have had something to do with that. Although Addison felt uncomfortable, she had to admit that she looked good. She felt like a total badass too which was a plus.
The girls kept insisting that it wasn't a makeover because they didn't style Addison's hair or her makeup. Her black hair hung almost straight but not really wavy down her back. She was wearing her usual makeup of eyeliner and mascara. Noelle did force her to put on red lip-gloss this morning however.
"I don't know about this," Addison mumbled as the group of girls walked towards the senior lounge. She pulled slightly on her leather jacket.
"You look hot, okay?" Adrienne reassured. "This is so going to work."
"You don't look that different," Skye comforted as they approached the door. "You're just wearing tighter clothes."
But judging from the glances students have been giving her in the hallway as they walked into the school, Addison did look different. She wasn't sure she liked all the attention she was getting. She'd much prefer to just be the quiet girl in class that no one notices. But Tom went and fucked that up for her with his stupid fucking bet.
Addison sighed as Adrienne opened the door to the lounge. Addison was the last girl to walk into the room, of course. The group paused for a moment by the door and then walked over to "their" couches. Addison didn't look to see if any other students had noticed her new clothes, but judging from the looks on the guys faces, they certainly had.
Billie Joe and Travis were sitting on one couch. Travis had a poker face, like always. Billie Joe was wearing an expression of surprise, but quickly closed his mouth when Adrienne glared at him. Mark looked like he was about to start drooling. Tom's eyes were widened so much that Addison couldn't differentiate the brown iris from the pupil, which Addison took a small amount of pride in.
Just then Addison heard a wolf-whistle and turned around to see Tré walking towards the group. "Looking good, Ads," he catcalled. Addison tried to stop herself from blushing. She was really regretting the decision to go along with this plan.
"Uh, thanks," she mumbled in response. She walked over and stood in front of the couch Tom and Mark were sitting on. "Mark, can I ask for a favor?" she asked.
Mark stared directly at her chest as he answered, "Anything." Tom nudged Mark's shoulder with his elbow. Mark coughed slightly before looking back at Addison, this time making eye contact. "Um, sure. What do you need?"
