After the greatest year of my life it is now a new season but before it is some friendlies. My team are invited to a pre season tournament in Germany. We will be playing 3 games in a knock out styled tournament.
Our games are as followed: Stuttgart first then if we win we advance and if we lose we play two friendlies against the other teams who lost.
I'm on the plane sitting next to Simms when he begins conversation, "Other than training and the matches what will you be doing in Germany? " "Probably stuffing myself with German cuisines", I responded whilst mispronouncing 'cuisines'. Simms chuckled partly at my response and partly at my bad pronunciation. "It is pronounced kw-i-seen ", he stated. "I know just having my words jambled due to being excited", I said back to him.
"Anyways, what are you going to be doing in Germany?", I gave him the same question. "Probably learn a bit of German it's funny how aggressive they sound", he replied. "My dad always says that about the language too", I laughed,"I actually know some German from school." "You done German ins school? When I was your age, I could only do Spanish.", he rambled a bit shocked. "Yes and don't say 'when I was your age' you aren't that old you are only 24.",I responded.
I whipped out my phone and started to play some block blast. I played for a bit and slightly glance to my side and to my surprise I witnessed Simms fully enticed with his gaze on my phone like a moth to light." You alright there afro?", I asked as I waved my hand in front of his face.
"Er yeah, just watching you play.", he replied. "You look mesmorized by the colours", I remarked. "It just looks quite satisfying."

The plane came to a halt and we got off and traversed the airport to get our luggage. I, of course, struggled in this environment of crowds and loud people. I diverted my focus to Simms's shoes as they left the floor and met back with it in a constant loop.
We got our stuff and left to the hotel and checked into our rooms. We all went out to Europa-Park, a theme park in Germany, as a team building activity.
I'm on one of the rides with Simms as it is about to go down. It slowly nears the edge and then suddenly it drops the moment rapidly blasts us across the track. Me and Simms scream as we go flying around the coaster. After what felt like 5 minutes of pure speed it was over. Until... The ride suddenly started moving but backwards. It got to a height and went through the coaster again. Me and Simms yet again screamed like little girls. As I was flying on this ride, I spotted Wright laughing whilst recording us.
Me and Simms got off and I told him of Wright's action so we planned on gettinh revenge on him. I ran to catch up with Wright and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned to see me but I pushed him and watched as he tripped over Simms who was 'coincidentally' behind him. He fell onto the grass below him and me and Simms fled the scene.

Win vs Palace 3-2, we advance again.
Loss vs Newcastle 3-1, end of tournament.
The skipper, Sheaf, informed a selection of players from the team, including me, that we are doing an interview that'll go onto tiktok and YouTube. This interview will be about football - obviously - but also our lives outside of football.
Day of the interview
I was awoke by an alarm that blared through my ears. "Ugh", I groaned as I grabbed the origin of the sound (an alarm clock) and chucked it at the wall, my eyes widen slightly at the sight of it breaking. "Ruh roh", I said in a Scooby-doo type voice.
"What was that?", I heard a shout sounding like Simms's slight accent. "I broke my alarm clock" ,I responded. "Bloody 'ell Karl"
As is stepped into my bathroom, I looked at the mirror seeing my fatigued look upon my face. I splashed water over my baggy eyes and brushed my teeth, not bothering to have breakfast first. I then applied moisturiser to my face and got dressed into some clothes.
I wore a white top, beige pants and a black hoodie:

I was all ready so I walked out of my room and walked with my teammates to our cars as we were car pooling.
The car consisted of Torp driving and me and Simms in the back with the front seat reserved for the Royal highness himself (Sheaf). The song Cotton-eye-joe started playing and me and Simms looked at each other and smirked. We both knew what was about to happen.
"If it hadn't been for Cotton-Eye Joe", Simms started singing.
"I'd been married long time ago", I continued.
"Where did you come from, where did you go?", we both sang in sync
"WHERE DID YOU COME FROM COTTON EYE JOE?", we continued singing songs until the end of the car journey without noticing Sheaf was with us too now.
We sat down ready for the interview as a tall man walked in, my jaw dropped at the realization of it being Peter Crouch.
The interview started with us all introducing ourselves. Crouch then asked some questions and we responded until he asked, "Karl, many teams are interested in signing you and some other clubs want to loan you in. What are your views on this?"
"Well for sure it is an honour to be wanted by clubs but I would like to stay here and fight to stay up. I feel as if the pressure will be good in developing my career.", I responded
"Adding onto this, you have broken many records as a young player and placed above some big names of young players including Pau Cubarsi in the young player of the year. How do you feel about that?", Crouch asked.
"For starters I have been very happy with my accomplishments but I don't think I should've been above Cubarsi as he done some wonders at Barca.",I replied.
"Next, Coventry are linked with the signing of Joe Gomez would you be happy with this player in the team?", Crouch questioned.
"I think he is a good player to sign as he has the experience of the Premier league", Sheaf said.
"That'll be all will hopefully see you guys another time", Crouch said.
The cameras stopped due to the ending of the interview so I got a picture with Crouch and got him to sign my phone case. We then left to see flashing lights of cameras and a tad of a crowd of people. I took some deep breathes and attempted to stay calm and meet some of the fans. One of whom threw a sombrero to me and told me to keep it.
A ding came onto my phone while I was in the car, it was a video with me tagged in it with my sombrero on attempting to dance. I chuckled at it but my chuckling was stopped to see it was posted by the official Premier league account. Another ding went off and it was a message from my agent.
Agent🤵:Here is some teams interested in you:
-Bournemouth (buy)
-Brighton (buy)
-Ipswich (Loan)
-Leeds (Loan)
Me: Cheers Mr Cook but I think I should stay at Coventry.
My agent used to be my mentor in high school but before that he was a scout for Liverpool so I swooped him up.
That was when I saw it.
Farbrizio Romano: Here we go! Van Ewijk to Crystal Palace for 35 million pounds. The deal is done and he will arrive at the club shortly.
The gaffer better know what he is doing...
