Matthew
The mate bond between me and him was like a fire smoldering beneath the surface, threatening to consume us . Every time we crossed paths, the air grew heavy with tension, each stolen glance stoking the flames of something we pretended wasn't there. Raphael's reputation as a heartbreaker and my own hesitation made it impossible to fully embrace what fate has chosen for us.
But Raphael wasn't one to give up. Despite my cold demeanor and attempts to keep his at arm' length, he was always there--watching, waiting his dark eyes tracking your every move. It was infuriating and intoxicating all at once.
That night, restless and unable to sleep I ventured into the forest surrounding the pack's terriyy. The cool breeze brushed against my skin as I walked beneath the canopy of stars, the peace of the the forest offering a reprieve from the chaos in my mide. Yet even in the solitude, your thoughts circled back to Raphael--his heated gaze, the way he said my name like a promise, the maddening pull of the bond.
"You're making this too easy", a deep, familiar voice drawled from the shadows.
I froze, my heart skipping a beat as Raphael stepped out from behind a tree. His presence was overwhelming, his broad shoulders and confident stance illuminated. He looked effortlessly handsome, his dark slightly tousled, his black shirt clinging to his muscular frame.
"What are you doing hear?", I demanded, trying to keep my voice steady despite the sudden fluttering in my chest.
"Couldn't sleep", he said casually, though the intensity in his gaze betrayed him. "Figured I'd find you out here, brooding like you always do."
"I'm not brooding", I shot back, crossing my hands over my chest. " And I don't need your company."
Raphael smirked, taking a step closer. "You don't want my company, but you need it. There's a a difference."
I hated the way my body reacted to his proximity, the bond thrumming between us like a live wire. "Why do you care so much? You've never cared about anyone else before."
"Because you're different," he said simply, his voice softer now. "Because you're mine."
The words sent a shiver down my spine, and before I could respond, Raphael closed the distance between us. His hands reached out, his fingers brushing against my cheek with a tenderness that caught me off guard.
"Stop fighting this," He murmured, his voice low and filled with a vulnerability I'd never seen in him before. "Stop fighting me".I wanted to push him away, to tell him he didn't have the right to affect me like this. But when his lips met mine, every thought, every doubt, vanished. The kiss was slowat first, exploratory, as if he were giving me the chance to pull away. But I didn't.
Instead, I leaned into him, my hands fisting in his shirt as the kiss deepened. Raphael groaned against my lips, his hands sliding down to grip my waist, pulling my flush again him. The heat between us was undeniable, the bond taking over as our bodies pressed together.
"You drive me crazy", he muttered between kisses, his lips trailing down my jaw to my neck.
" Raphael-"
He silenced me with another kiss, his hand tangled in my hairs as he tilted my head back to give him better access. "I've waited long enough", he growled, his voice rough with need. " You're mine, and I'm not letting you go."
Before I knew it, he'd lifted me effortlessly, pressing me against a nearby tree. My legs wrapped around his waist instinctively, and I gasped at the felling of him against me. His hands roamed my body with a possessiveness that left no doubt of his intentions.
"Tell me you feel it too," He demanded, his dark eyes searching mine.
I couldn't lie. Not when the bond made me crave him in a way I'd never craved anyone elea. "I feel it, " I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper.
Raphael's lips crashed against mine again, more urgent this time. His hands gripped my thighs, holding me in place as he grainted against me, the friction sending a jolt of pleasure through my body.
But just as things were about to spiral out of control, a distant howl broke through the haze. It was a reminder of our responsibility, of the world beyond the two of us.
Raphael pulled back, his breathinh ragged, his forehead resting against mine. "This isn't over", he promised, his voice a low growl.
He set me back on the ground, his hands lingering on my waist for a moment before he stepped back. I could still feel the heat of his touch, the ghost of his lips on my skin.
As he disappeared into the shadows, I knew that everything had changed. The bond was no longer something I could ignore, and Raphael had made it clear that he wasn't going to let me go. The question now was weather I was ready to accept what fate had given me Or weather I'd keep fighting the one thing I couldn't deny.
