Matthew's POVThe morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting warm rays over the room. Raphael's arms were still wrapped securely around me, his body pressed protectively against mine. His scent-woodsy and grounding-filled my senses, and for a moment, I felt like the rest of the world didn't exist.
But the peace was short-lived. A knock sounded at the door, followed by Alice's voice. "Meeting in fifteen minutes. Both of you."
Raphael growled low in his throat, clearly displeased at the interruption. "Ignore it," he muttered, burying his face in the crook of my neck.
I chuckled, running a hand through his dark hair. "We can't ignore Ace. You know how she gets when people are late."
Reluctantly, Raphael loosened his grip, but not before pressing a lingering kiss to my shoulder. "Fine. But I don't like sharing you with anyone else."
The possessiveness in his voice sent a shiver down my spine, but I swatted his chest playfully. "Let's go, Alpha."

The meeting room buzzed with tension as warriors from both packs strategized. Discussions of rogue movements, territorial defenses, and possible alliances filled the air. I sat beside Raphael, his hand resting on my thigh-a subtle but firm reminder of his presence.
As plans unfolded, Raphael's protectiveness flared multiple times. When a patrol suggested I take part in reconnaissance, Raphael shut it down immediately.
"He's not leaving the packhouse," Raphael said sharply, his tone leaving no room for debate.
"I can handle myself," I argued, leaning closer to him.
"I said no," he growled, his gaze hard as it locked onto mine.
The room went silent, the tension between you palpable. I sighed, biting back a retort. This wasn't the place to fight.

Raphael's POV
The meeting dragged on, every suggestion involving him setting my teeth on edge. The idea of him out there, vulnerable to the rogues or worse, was unacceptable. My wolf bristled at the mere thought, demanding he keep Matthew close.
When the meeting finally adjourned, I barely waited for the room to clear before turning to Him. "What were you thinking?" I demanded, my voice low but intense.
"I was thinking that I'm not helpless," he replied, crossing his arms.
I ran a hand through my hair, trying to calm myself. "It's not about you being helpless," I said, stepping closer. "It's about me needing to know you're safe. Do you understand what it does to me to imagine you out there, exposed to danger?"
He softened at my words, seeing the genuine fear behind his protectiveness. "Ray..."
"I can't lose you," I murmured, my voice breaking slightly. "I won't."

Matthew POV
Raphael's vulnerability tugged at my heart, and I reached out, placing a hand on his chest. "I'm not going anywhere," I said softly. "But you have to trust me too."
His arms enveloped me, pulling me against him in a firm embrace. "I'll try," he said, his voice muffled against my hair. "But I won't stop protecting you."
I smiled against his chest. "I wouldn't expect you to."
------------------------------
The day's events left both of us drained, and Ray insisted on taking me back to his quarters. As we sat together on the couch, the weight of the bond between us became impossible to ignore.
Ray's fingers traced absent patterns on my hand, his dark eyes focused on me.
"You're too good for me," he said suddenly, his voice low.
I frowned, tilting my head. "Why would you say that?"
"Because you deserve someone who doesn't have enemies lurking in every shadow," he replied, his gaze dropping. "Someone who doesn't have to fight to keep you safe."
I cupped his face, forcing him to look at me. "Ray, I chose you. Enemies or not, danger or not, I'm here because I love you. Don't you ever doubt that."
The intensity in my voice seemed to reach him, and he leaned forward, capturing my lips in a searing kiss.
--------------------------------
Raphael's POV
The kiss deepened, and I poured everything I felt into it-love, fear, need. He was my anchor, my mate, the one person I couldn't afford to lose.
I pulled him into my lap, my hands gripping his waist as I kissed him with growing urgency. My wolf growled in approval, urging me to claim him completely.
"I need you," I murmured against his lips, his voice rough.
"I'm yours," He whispered, his breath hitching as I nipped at his neck.
I carried him to the bed, my movements both gentle and commanding. As the bond between us pulsed, I took my time, ensuring every touch, every kiss, conveyed just how much he meant to me.

Matthew POV
The connection between us deepened as Ray worshipped every inch of me. His dominance was tempered by his care, making me feel both cherished and desired.
"You're mine," he growled, his voice thick with emotion.
"All yours," I replied, my voice trembling.
The bond surged, leaving me breathless and completely in sync. In Ray's arms, the chaos of the world faded away, leaving only the two of us and the unbreakable connection we shared.

Aftermath
As you lay tangled together, Logan's arms wrapped securely around you, a sense of peace settled over you both. His heartbeat was steady beneath your ear, a comforting reminder of his presence.
"You're everything to me," he murmured, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
"And you're everything to me," you replied, closing your eyes.
Whatever challenges lay ahead, you knew you would face them together, bound by love and an unshakable bond.
