chapter ten

Blair and Liam managed to leave the high school just before the cops got there. They were sitting in the back seat of Stiles jeep and driving to Derek's loft for another meeting. Blair and Liam were both disappointed with how the night ended. It was prom. Prom was suppose to be fun and the time of their life. And it was, until they saw another resurrected human turned into a demon.

It was chilly for a California night and Blair was wearing a strapless dress. Needless to say, Blair was not enjoying herself at all. She looked at the road ahead of her and Liam looked outside the window of the jeep. Blair's phone goes off and she sees it's Brooklyn. "Hey."

"Dude, where are you? There's freaking cops cars here because a dead body was found in the hallway. You know what the freakiest thing is? The body is someone who was suppose to be buried in a graveyard." Brooklyn sounded like she was whispering, which meant she was secretly on her phone or pretending she was calling her parents.

"Liam and I decided to leave early." Blair easily lied.

"Ugh, you're not having sex right now, are you?" Brooklyn asked which Blair let out a gasp.

"No, of course not! My goodness, Brooklyn, who do you think I am? Anyway, I'll talk to you tomorrow and stay safe." Blair hung up the phone and Liam helped her get out of the car. They walked into Derek's loft and everyone else as there.

"Wow, Blair, you look really nice." Lydia complimented.

"Not as nice as you did during senior prom." Stiles smiles and slightly kissed his girlfriend,

"Please, get a room. We have other things to talk about." Kira then said. "What happened tonight?"

"Blair and I were dancing and she saw a person on the other side of the gym with black eyes. We followed it, got attacked, but then Blair turned into her other form and it just sort of... vanished and left the body. Truthfully, the demon seemed like it was looking for us." Liam explained, giving the short version of the story.

"We already got that someone is basically creating an army of demons, but we need to know why. We also need to know who is doing this and why it was specifically going after Blair and Liam." Stiles sighed. Yet another mystery in the making that he needed to try and solve.

"How did the demon vanish?" Malia asked, "That's a pretty important question too."

Derek spoke up, "There's a legends about cats but I never knew if it was true. But now I know it is. It's believed the cats are the guardians for the gates of Hell. When a demon, ghost, or anything along those lines sees a cat then it immediately goes back to Hell. Since Blair is a werelion, she can banish any ghost or demon."

"Well that's lovely. Great to know that I'm a guardian of Hell. It's a settling thought." Blair nodded. Though it was unsettling, Blair also thought it was a bit cool on how she was able to just make ghosts and demons disappear. It gave her a big advantage. 

"Now we know the answer to that, we know need to know why an army of demons is being created and why." Stiles said.

Lydia shrugged, "The answer to that should be easy. Whoever is doing this is trying to speed up the end of the world. Kill everyone and restart the world. No one thinks demons are real so this isn't something people could see coming and prepare for. It would be one big  war that the demons themselves would win."
