Day 43 with the Hunters

Dear Diary,

My integration into the Kingdom is gradually making itself felt. I've learned a lot about my friends and Trent. I still don't know why he chose me but, according to one of his former team-mates, Charushila, he's not using me to do harm. What is he doing at the moment? And where can I meet him? Picardy is the only place where he could be hiding... Charushila made me sad when I saw her health deteriorate. They want her to wither away slowly, it's a shame! Charushila gave me a letter addressed to Trent. I have to find him at all costs to give it to him.

At camp, the atmosphere between us is getting better and better. I've learnt a lot about my team-mates. For example, Sauron is the son of the Queen of the Fléons... He's never lived with the elves. He's always felt like a Hunter. Physically, he really looks like an elf and wields weapons to perfection. That's what impresses me about him. Rufus lives in a peasant family that has managed to change its social status. Today, his family owns a large nectar business that people enjoy, but his love of money is excessive. Golmatan is one hundred and twenty-five years old. What a surprise! Apparently, Phantoms can live as long as vampires, but like us, they are also mortal. Humans and some Hunters are born after 9 months. For Phantom, the process can take years. Yet his age is the same as mine. What fascinates me about ghosts is their close resemblance to wizards. They can create portals to move from point A to point B, whereas wizards who play the role of Peacekeepers are allowed to open portals anywhere. Phantoms are very limited. Their portals are weaker, little vortexes formed from black magic. Interesting... But Golmatan can go beyond these small portals, even if it takes a lot of effort. He also believes that dimensions exist across the Worlds. He is constantly studying this theory, hoping one day to unravel this mystery. As for Naar, he refuses to speak to us. He really is a stubborn oaf. Just this morning he almost took it out on me... I don't know how to talk to him, and it's better that we don't.
My research continues and I'm curious to read the story of the Nameless Hunter. Apparently I can find a copy in Monta's library, but it's a bit... risky. My second recourse is the World of Humans. According to Catherine, there are archive copies. I'm happy to have such a devoted friend. We exchanged a few letters. She told me that her family came from Arahsmurd and that she knew magic weapons to perfection. When Catherine makes a fascinating discovery, she doesn't hesitate to send me letters. Ralph doesn't know about this, but he suspects that we communicate.

Finally, I'm not allowed to write to my mother. As she's a prisoner, she's not allowed any form of communication. I also write little letters to Bérénice and my father. Ralph passes them on to them when he visits the Human World. I've heard that the Erasmus programme is going well for my best friend. I've made her a promise to meet up with her when she gets back. Catherine wants to be helpful and help me learn more about vampires. As for my father, he encourages me by reminding me every day to act on my convictions and intuitions. I love them with all my heart.
