She's Gone Now

Chapter 4

As Carmen and Jessica arrive at Allie's house, they see Serena and Allie walking out her front door.
"Hey, where's Kiley?" Jessica asks.
"I don't know, she might not come. She's been acting weird ever since she introduced us to Carmen." Serena answers. Carmen sighs so slightly and looks at the ground.
"Carmen, don't get me wrong, it's not your fault. It's just always been the four of us and I don't know what her problem is but, you are amazing and are a great addition to our group." Allie says when she notices Carmen's change in attitude.
"Thanks A. I hope she comes. This creek place sounds hella fun. Let's go you slow pokes." Carmen says.
"Yesss. Leggo. " Jessica says as her an Serena race to the creek. Allie and Carmen walk far behind them.
"Hey Allie, are you okay?" Carmen breaks the silence.
"Yeah. Why do you ask?" Allie stops and turns to Carmen.
"Well, you and Kiley seemed kind of.. I don't know distant. Did something happen?"
"It's nothing. Promise. We have a big past. She was my first friend here. I don't know what's up with her. Let's not ask her though, she might blow up."
"Okay. I'm here for you whenever you need." Carmen looks Allie in the eyes.
"I know." Allie turns forward and starts walking as Carmen follows.

"What took you so long to get here?" Serena asks.
"Um, we were walking duhhh!!" Carmen answers.
"Mhmmm. Okay. Sure. You're just like turtles." Serena laughs.
"Yes we are." Allie imitates Pistachio from Masters of Disguse."Turtle turtle" As all of the girls break out laughing, Kiley walks behind Allie and screams "BOO".
As a reflex Allie screams, turns around, and slaps Kiley's arm.
"Damn Allie, you got quick reflexes." Kiley laughs.
"Oh shut up. They come in handy when people like you are idiots and scare the pee outta me so I can slap some sense into them." Allie giggles.
"What ever A. You get scared wayyy to easily." Carmen says. As everyone joins Kiley in laughing.
Allie's phone starts ringing. As she pulls it out she sees the name "Hayes" appear on the screen.
"What do I do?!" Allie panics.
"Answer it dumb ass!!" Jessica jokes.
Allie slides her finger across the screen of her silver iPhone 5s to answer the call from Hayes.
"Hello?" Allie answers.
"Hey Allie." Hayes greets.
"Hola" Allie laughs
"Howdy" Hayes carries on.
"Aloha"
"Okay, you got me there...So what are you doing?" Hayes asks changing the subject.
"Not much, just at this creek with my crew. Duhh."
"I see..."
"Yeah. What about you?"
"I'm just being bored, but if you're busy, I can hang up." Hayes offers.
"Nahhh, you don't have to." Allie disagrees and shakes her head slightly.
"So what are you doing tomorrow night?"
"Not much, probably just watching Netflix and getting Taco Bell. My dad is out of town for work for the next 2 weeks and my mom has the night shifts this month. Why?" Allie asks suspiciously.
"Well, I was wondering if we could have our first official date, but I have a better idea." Hayes answers.
"Which is?" Allie pries.
"How about I'll go to your house tomorrow and surprise you? And don't dress up." Hayes suggests.
"Sure. What time?" Allie asks.
"How about I just come and you just stay there. Okay?"
"Sure." Allie giggles nervously.
"I'll see you tomorrow."
"Okay. Byeeee!!" Allie hangs up the phone.
"GIRL SPILL!!" Kiley and Serena practically yell together.
"Hayes is coming over tomorrow." Allie giggles.
"Oh my god Allie, you're blushing!" Carmen squeals.
"Good for you girl!!! Maybe you'll do a bit more than talking if you know what I mean." Jessica laughs and is soon joined by the other girls.
