She's Gone Now

Chapter 5

As the sun went down the girls headed back to Carmen's house to help her unpack. Carmen walked in first and welcomed Allie, Kiley, Serena, and Jessica to her new house. Their jaws dropped.

"Woah." Kiley whispered then fake coughed to recover from her mishap.

"Oh my gosh C. This can't be your house. It's HUGE!!!" Allie said astonished as her eyes roamed around the room.

"It's not too big." Carmen laughed "My parents work so much they're like never home. And we move around a lot, but I think we're staying here till graduation."
"Carmen, this house is goals." Jessica said.

"I'll show you around." Carmen says as she starts walking out of the sunroom that has French doors that lead to the family room. The family room is painted a light gray with sea foam green and dark blue accents. The carpet is an off-white color and very thick and soft. There is a sectional sofa which has a dark blue throw blanket thrown on the sofa, also there are throw pillows at each end adding a homey touch to it. There is a love seat with a throw blanket at well, and two big comfy chairs. As Carmen walks through the family room with the girls following she says "This is the family room."

Carmen leads the way into the dining room with Allie, Kiley, Serena, and Jessica following. There is a long wooden table that's in the center with off-white cushioned chairs and two benches around the table. A big beautiful chandelier hangs over the dining table. Family pictures are scattered over the light gray walls. "This is the formal dining room" Carmen says as she walks through. Three of the four walls have doors to another room, one of them leading to the family room, another to the living room, and the last one to the kitchen. The fourth wall has crystal clear windows with off-white curtains hanging down, touching the ground.

Carmen walks through the second doorway which is a white painted French door that's opened. The living room has off-white carpeting. It's in the process of having a color picked out for the walls, you can tell by all of the different colors of paints on one wall. There is a huge brick fireplace that's painted white.

There's a few chairs and a television on the floor because of the obvious lack of interior design. There is a staircase that leads upstairs and Carmen leads Allie, Kiley, Serena, and Jess up the stairs after saying "That's the living room".

At the top of the stairs there were four doors, two on each side of the stairs.
Carmen walked to the right side and opened the door at the end of the hall. As she walked in everyone's eyes wondered around from box to box. "This is going to be the workout room. Everything is still being put together as you can tell" Carmen said. The room has a tv in the corner of the room right by the door. The room was painted a very light blue with black window frames, a black framed floor length mirror, and a black framed closet door with towels, ankle weights, stretch bands, yoga equipment, and DVDs for workout routines. Carmen walked out of the room and closed the door after everyone was out of the room.

Carmen walked to the door at the end of the hallway. She opened it and revealed the master bedroom. Allie's jaw dropped at the size of the room. It was huge!! The walls were painted this kind of dark gray which had a purple tint to it. The king size bed had a grey comforter with deep purple, green, and teal colored small flowers. There was a fuzzy gray throw blanket on the end of the bed. There were two gray regular pillows and one body pillow that was also gray. There were purple, green, and teal throw pillows and well as some off-white pillows to make the room a little brighter. At the foot of the bed was a huge chest filled with blankets. There were two closets, both walk in. One had a huge safe which could be used as a panic room. The bathroom was the size of the walk in closets put together. There were two toilets on opposite sides of the bathroom. A mirror on both sides with a sink in both sides was right in the middle creating a divider of the space. There was a huge jacuzzi bathtub that was sure to fit five people. There was a TV above it as well as in the opposite corners of the room. There are three more doors in a row. The one in the middle is a cabinet and the doors on the outside lead to two separate showers. As Carmen led the way out she said "Guess who's room this is? Obviously my parents, but they're like never home so whatever." Carmen rolled her eyes.
She leaves the room closing the door. Carmen opened the door in the middle revealing stairs that led up to five more rooms. Two were guest bedrooms, which looked almost identical with light gray walls and yellow, light gray, and white matching quilts. One of the rooms was a home theater with a huge white screen for projecting movies. Another room was a cool hang out place with bean bags and bungee cord chairs and it had two mini fridges, one for snacks, and one for drinks. There was a huge TV to watch and an Xbox 1, Xbox 360, PS3, ps4, wii, wii u, and an Atari which is an old gaming system where you have a joystick and a red button. There was a huge window that you could open and go into the roof. Another room was Carmen's room which has a mattress and a lot of boxes. Each room had a full bathroom attached to it.

Carmen led the girls down the two flights of stairs, through the living room and dining room into the kitchen. It was huge. There was a giant fridge, a double oven, microwave, a freezer, a huge walk in pantry, two sinks, one on the counter space by the cupboards another one on the island that separated the kitchen from the kitchen table. The island also has a stove on it. Right behind the kitchen table were doors to the backyard. They all walked outside. There was a gorgeous in ground pool, a hot tub connected to it, and a trampoline. Every persons dream backyard. When they went back inside. There were two doors that weren't opened. One was to the creepy basement and another to a bathroom.
"I guess that's it" Carmen said.
"Wow you have quite the house." Allie said astonished.
"No shit." Kiley muttered.
"What do your parents do for a living?!" Serena demanded.
"My mom is a designer for movie and TV show costumes and sets, and my dad is a surgeon." Carmen answers shyly.
"My dad is an X-ray tech, maybe our parents know eachother!!" Allie said.
"That'd be cool." Carmen answered.
"So what are we doing now?" Jessica asked.
"Well first we can unpack my boxes, not all of them, and then we can go swimming. My mom has swimming suits in every size for male and female, it's weird." Carmen said.
"But we need food." Serena complained as her stomach started growling.
"I'll order pizza, one of each basic pizza?" Carmen asked.
"Yes" Allie, Kiley, Serena, and Jessica replied in unison.
