The sprawling mansion hummed with lively chatter as family members buzzed about in preparation for the wedding festivities. Ritvika, however, sought refuge in the tranquil solitude of the garden. The soft rustle of leaves and the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers created a soothing backdrop as she occupied herself with watering the plants.

Lost in her thoughts, she absentmindedly directed the water pipe, soaking not just the plants but the surrounding grass as well, making it slippery.Unbeknownst to her, Shourya stood at a distance, his dark eyes fixed on her.

The enigmatic businessman exuded authority, but at that moment, his usually stoic demeanor softened. Ritvika's carefree spirit and genuine smile captivated him. He found himself drawn toward her, his feet moving of their own accord.Just as Ritvika turned off the water pipe and spun around, her foot slipped on the damp grass. A startled yelp escaped her lips as she lost her balance.

Before she could hit the ground, Shourya's strong arms enveloped her, steadying her. Their faces were mere inches apart, and time seemed to slow. Ritvika's hands clutched his shoulders instinctively, while his hands remained firm around her waist. A moment of charged silence passed between them, the proximity igniting an inexplicable tension.

"Tum kya sirf naam ke hi top businessman ho? Aapni aankhon ki surgery kyun nahi karwa lete? Jab dekho tab yaha waha takrate rahte ho!"

Ritvika broke the silence with her trademark sarcasm, her tone sharp yet teasing.

Shourya's lips curled into a smirk.

"Excuse me, Miss Jangli Billi, would you like to stand up? YOU ARE SO HEAVY."

Ritvika narrowed her eyes, feigning indignation.

"Oh really? Will you mind leaving my waist so I can get up?"

she retorted. As she attempted to push herself upright, Shourya quickly released her, averting his gaze to hide his reddened cheeks. Yet, the warmth of her presence lingered on his hands, and he chastised himself for feeling so disarmed. Before they could continue their playful exchange, Ishika, Aakanksha's younger sister, bounded into the garden with her camera in hand.

"Diii! I brought my camera! Let's take some pictures!"

she exclaimed excitedly. While Ishika and Aakanksha dove into a spirited photoshoot, Ritvika slipped away toward the quieter corners of the garden. She resumed watering the plants, her thoughts far away. Unbeknownst to her, Shourya's gaze remained fixed on her from a distance, admiration evident in his eyes. Moments later, as Ritvika turned off the water pipe and stepped back, her foot slipped once more on the wet grass. This time, she tumbled backward, pulling Shourya down with her. They landed unceremoniously on the ground, the impact jolting both of them. Shourya's pristine white shirt bore streaks of mud, and to his alarm, patches of red. His eyes widened as he realized the stains were blood.Panic set in as he searched Ritvika for any visible injuries. However, before he could ask her anything, she had already darted away, leaving him bewildered. Shourya stood frozen for a moment before Ishika approached, her carefree demeanor intact.
