The news of the pregnancy hung in the air like an electric charge, shifting the dynamic between Taylor and Travis in an instant. That evening, they sat together in the living room, Taylor curled up against him, her head resting on his chest. The soft glow of the firelight bathed them in warmth, but neither could fully relax.

"You okay, Angel?" Travis murmured, running his fingers gently through her hair.

"I think so," she admitted, though her voice was tinged with uncertainty. "It's just... a lot to take in. We weren't exactly planning for this."

Travis tilted her chin up so their eyes met. "No, we weren't. But that doesn't mean it's not the best thing that's ever happened to us."

Her lips curved into a small smile. "You really mean that?"

"I do," he said without hesitation. "This baby is ours, Taylor. A part of you, a part of me. And I'll move heaven and earth to make sure the two of you are safe."

His words brought tears to her eyes, but she blinked them back, refusing to let her emotions get the better of her. "I'm scared, Travis. About the world we're in. About the dangers..."

Travis's jaw tightened, the protective edge in his expression hardening. "I'll handle it. Whatever threats come our way, I'll take care of them."

"But you can't do it alone," she argued softly. "We're in this together, remember? Just like we always said."

He pressed a kiss to her forehead, his lips lingering there. "Together," he agreed.

The Next Morning

By the time the sun rose, the reality of their situation began to sink in. Taylor decided to focus on her role in the business, knowing that she couldn't afford to shy away from the responsibilities that came with being part of Travis's world.

They gathered in the back room of the bar with Ross and Patrick, the tension in the room palpable as the two men absorbed the news.

"You're serious?" Ross asked, leaning back in his chair with a low whistle. "You're gonna be a dad?"

Travis's lips twitched into a rare smile. "Yeah. I am."

Patrick grinned, clapping him on the back. "Congratulations, man. Brittany's gonna be thrilled when she hears."

Taylor glanced between them, the warmth of their support easing some of her lingering fears. "Thank you," she said softly.

Ross leaned forward, his expression turning serious. "You know this changes things, right? We'll need to tighten security, double-check every operation. Santino's already gunning for us, and if he finds out..."

"He won't," Travis said sharply, his tone leaving no room for argument. "No one outside this room knows. Not yet."

Taylor nodded, her hand resting protectively over her stomach. "We'll be careful. But we can't let fear control us."

Patrick gave her an approving nod. "That's the spirit. And hey, if you need anything, Brittany and I are here. You've got a whole team behind you."

Travis reached for Taylor's hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "We've got this, Angel."

Later That Night

The weight of the day pressed down on Taylor as she lay in bed, staring up at the ceiling. Travis was beside her, his arm draped over her waist.

"You're quiet," he murmured, his voice heavy with sleep.

"Just thinking," she admitted.

"About what?"

"About what kind of parents we'll be," she said softly. "About whether we can really do this."

Travis shifted closer, his breath warm against her neck. "You're gonna be an amazing mom, Taylor. And I'll do whatever it takes to be the best dad I can be. I promise."

His words brought a lump to her throat, and she turned to face him, her fingers tracing the lines of his face. "I don't deserve you, Travis."

He caught her hand, pressing a kiss to her palm. "You deserve the world, Angel. And I'm gonna give it to you."

Her heart swelled at his words, and she leaned in to kiss him, pouring all her love and gratitude into the embrace.

As their kisses deepened, the rest of the world melted away, leaving only the two of them and the new life they were building together.
