Wait, wait, wait. RuPERT?! What? Wait a minute, maybe before he went into a coma, he had already heard about RuPERT. Ok. Well that makes sense then. He dreamed about him because he had already heard about him in real life. But either way, Braden didn't want to watch TV anymore. He just freaked out majorly. He figured he'd just go look around the house. "Mom?!" Yelled Braden. "I'm right here!" She replied, as she came around a corner. "Where is my room?" Said Braden. "Do you see that spiral staircase?" Said his mom, pointing to a large, spruce, spiral staircase, just off the kitchen. "Yeah." Said Braden. "Go straight up those stairs, all the way down the hall, and in the room at the very end of it." Said his mom. Braden followed the instructions, and went up the staircase. Once he got to the top, he found a giant hall. The walls were dark oak, and were riddled with pictures. Pictures of their family. Pictures of his mom and dad. Of him and Kendall. Braden was still weirded out by the girlfriend thing. He walked down to the end of the hall, and into the last room. Braden was shocked. It was the size of a living room, that its size was tripled. The ceiling was twenty feet high, the wall parallel of the door was a giant window spread, and his bed was king-sized on ten-foot stilts. It was humongous! On his bed, was a ladder that led to the top. He climbed up to the top of his bed. He just decided to lay down and think. "Nothing feels right". Those were the first three words that popped into his head. His family was rich, he had the ability to actually keep a girlfriend, and to top it all off, his mom was still alive. Suddenly his mind actually wanted to be back with his team. Tristan, Kendall and Brent. Not the Tristan, Kendall and Brent he was currently living with, but the ones in the Cyber Age. Suddenly none of that felt like a dream. Now this. This felt like a dream. Then it hit him. Braden remembered his own words, "...everyone has to remember: RuPERT is the is extremely manipulative"
Was RuPERT just manipulating Braden's mind, to make him think he was here? Was this the manipulation stage? Or was Braden just crazy? He had to know. But first, he had to seek help. Not his family. No. He had to get real help. He climbed back down the ladder and went downstairs. He ran to the living room. "Mom!" He called, again. "Yes, honey?!" She replied. "Where's the phone?!" Said Braden. "On the couch." Said his mom. Braden rushed to the couch, and found his moms phone. It was an iPhone, with a pink case. He immediately googled a psychiatrist. He got a number for one, and called him. "Hello?" Said the psychiatrist. "This is doctor Jeremy. How can I help you?" Said the doctor. "Hi. I just experienced a near death experience the other day, and I just need to ask an expert a few questions." Said Braden. "Alright, sir. What is your address?" Said doctor Jeremy. Braden muted the call. "Mom! What's our address?!" He yelled. "1798 Garden Court. Why?!" She replied. "No reason!" He answered. He then un-muted the call. "My address is 1798 Garden Court, Baltimore, MD." Said Braden. "Alright. I'll be over right away." Said doctor Jeremy. So Braden waited. And he waited. After about thirty minutes of just sitting on the couch, and downloading apps to his moms phone, his dad, Kendall and Brent got back. When they came in they were laughing hysterically. Kendall was in tears, from laughing so hard. They all had tons of groceries in hand. "What's so funny?" Asked Braden. "We were in the store," Said Kendall, still laughing. "And your dad heard Wrecking Ball come on, so he started dancing and lip syncing, and Brent and I were cracking up! But then a girl came up and said, 'What bar do you perform at?' He told her he didn't perform and she looked super disappointed!" Said Kendall. Braden couldn't help but crack up hysterically too. That was just too funny. Then someone knocked at the door. "Come in!" Yelled Braden. A man opened the door. Braden knew it was the doctor. "Hello. I am doctor Jeremy." Said the doctor. "Hello, doctor. Follow me." Braden led the doctor to his room. Braden's dad, and Brent and Kendall looked a bit confused. Braden led the doctor to his room. Once they got up there, Braden and the doctor both found two chairs. "How about I start." Said the doctor. "What are you struggling with?" Said the doctor. "Well, not that long ago I got into a car wreck. I was in a coma for a few days, and while I was I had this crazy dream. It was 2416 and I had to defeat an evil robot. But the thing is, this life here just doesn't seem real. The dream does, if it's even a dream. Is it possible, that this is the dream?" Said Braden. The doctor looked shocked. "No, Braden. This is your life. There is no way this is a dream. I'm sure that you had heard of RuPERT before you dreamed about him. That's why you dreamed." Said the doctor. Well, that was it. Braden guessed there wasn't any way he was-- wait. Did the doctor just say, RuPERT? Braden didn't say anything at all about dreaming about RuPERT. He just said a robot. Braden slowly got up from his chair, and stepped towed his giant window. "Now, wait. What are you doing?" Said the doctor. "I never said anything about RuPERT." Said Braden, as he jumped right out of his window, head first.
Straight to his death.
And out of his dream.
