HAMZAH

▶︎ •၊၊||၊|။||||။‌‌‌‌‌၊|• 0:15

It's been 3 weeks since I started driving Y/N to school, It feels more natural now. It hasn't even been that long, yet it already feels more like a daily schedule to me, and it kind of scares me how quickly I've adapted to it.

What's even scarier is how much we talk now. I mean, besides her work keeping her busy. It's also scary whenever Mandy or Martin brings her up, more scary when it's Mandy, though...

I find myself taking quick glances at my phone once the time strikes 5 pm.

"What are you looking at?" Mandy asks as she shoots me a slightly irritated but confused look. She somehow always notices everything...

I quickly straighten my posture, gripping my phone a little tighter without even realising it.

"Nothing," I say, trying to sound casual. She raises an eyebrow at me before saying a loud 'mhm' as a response, catching Martin's attention. He turns his head from across the house, giving me a pointed look before smirking.

"Waiting for a text, Hamzah?" he teases, crossing his legs in a sassy manner and raising his eyebrow high at me. I murmur a scoff before fixating my attention back to my phone, and he lets out a small giggle that slightly echoes from across the house.

I glance at the time again; the seconds drag on just a little too long.

5:02.

I try to ignore the level of impatience building in my chest, even when it's only been 2 minutes. She's probably just finishing up or caught up with something.

But then, my phone buzzes.

I grab it almost too quickly, a small grin tugging at my lips before I even check the message.

I smile to myself, typing out a quick response before grabbing my jacket from the couch. Martin looks over at me just as I start to head for the door.

"You're leaving already?" he asks, a little too much curiosity in his voice. I glance back at him, trying to act casual.

"Y/N's out right now," I reply, shrugging it off. "I'm bringing her back here," I add on.
