♡Lines We Don't Cross... Until We Do♡

The sound of the pen scratching paper was the only thing that broke the silence in the room.

Jungkook's eyes remained locked on the document before him, the pen resting loosely between his fingers. Normally, he would have reviewed every single line-twice. No deal ever went past him without a double check. His legal team knew better. His employees knew better.
He never signed anything blindly.

But then-

"Jungkook..." Yn's voice broke through the still air, soft but startling.

His name. Not Sir. Not Mr. Jeon. Not the usual formality that echoed in this office.

Just Jungkook.

It made him pause. Made his chest tighten.

His gaze lifted to her for the briefest moment-and she looked so calm, so sure, like she knew this was the right thing. Like she wasn't afraid of him, of the power in his hands, of the way he could crush her with one word.

He looked back down at the paper.

"W-What are you thinking about, Jungkook? Just sign it," Yn said gently, her voice smooth and innocent-a perfect act.

Tapping the edge of the paper like it wasn't a ticking bomb of betrayal.

Her words caught him off guard-not the sentence itself, but the fact that she called him Jungkook instead of Sir twice.

His name, rolling off her tongue so casually, as if the name itself belonged to her. In the middle of his sleek, cold office-under the buzz of fluorescent lights and the ticking of his Rolex-he felt warmth. Stupid, irrational warmth.

If only he knew it was all calculated. That she had planned this moment down to her tone and smile to lower his guard.

"Just your initials here," she said sweetly, pointing with her pen as if she didn't already know he'd do it.

He blinked. "Right..." he muttered, completely thrown off by the smile she gave him. Her lips curved just enough to feel like a reward-and Jungkook, in all his polished, powerful presence, felt like a whole different person! The usual cold appearance seemed to soften for a moment before he masked his face with neutral expressions.

And then he signed it. His hands were confident, but his mind? Somewhere doing cartwheels.

Under the table, he was literally kicking his legs like a teenager who got noticed by his crush for the first time in school.

Yn's grin widened for a brief second. Gotcha.

She took the signed file and gave a short bow. "Thank you, sir," she added, slipping the sir back in now that her job was done. Jungkook, flustered and unsure why he suddenly felt ten degrees hotter, just nodded silently.

As soon as the door clicked shut behind her, Jungkook leaned back in his chair. Eyes still locked on the door. As if staring too much into it would make her appear again!

His brows furrowed slightly. Not because he regretted signing it-but because of the strange tightness in his chest that hadn't left since she walked in.

He tilted his head back and exhaled slowly, lips parting as if releasing something heavy that he didn't quite understand.

Why did it feel... different when she was around?

She wasn't like anyone else in this goddamn building. Everyone else was either scared of him or too formal, too scripted. But her? She was unpredictable. She challenged him without disrespecting him. She was polite but fearless. There was light in her, and it didn't dim even in the shadows of his cold, corporate world.
