Kyria POV

As soon as we walked through the doors I knew we had found it, people in floor length robes, pointed hats, even fancy looking brooms that you know were definitely not made for sweeping.

"Hey there, never seen you lot before!" the barkeep shouted as we walked towards the bar, "where are you from then?" he asked as we reached him.

"We're from the states," I answered as I felt Nico lovingly squeeze my hand.

"All from the Salem Institute then are you?" the man asked, "my name's Tom, I supposed you'll be wanting to get into the Alley to do some shopping then, come follow me!" he said before we could respond and took us out to the backdoor where we ran into a brick wall, which he tapped with a long carved stick which I realized must have been a wand, and there before us the bricks shifted until it became an archway into one of the most astounding places I had every seen, it was as if time stood still for this particular place.

"Welcome young friends and adventurers to Diagon Alley!" Tom said with a sweeping bow.

"Thank you Tom," Lou-Ellen said with a smile, and as we said our goodbyes we began wandering around.

Suddenly I yanked Nico close and reached up and kissed him hard, causing some people to stare at us, "I know I asked you for some time to see mortal Britain, but if I'm to be honest it look like this place will take up the rest of our time," I said as I snuggled into his arms.

"That's fine my love, we have all the time in the world, now let's see what this Diagon Alley has to offer," he said as he bent down for me to climb on his back.

I giggled like a little child as he raced towards the others, Edward commenting about how some things just didn't change, like size two pewter cauldrons, and the pets, and of course Ollivander's, the wand maker's shop.

At the very center of the street there stood a rather imposing building...that looked like it was about to come tumbling down, "I wonder what that place is?" I said to Nico as I pointed to the building, when I heard a scoff, and man with gleaming white hair, and a teenaged boy, who must have been his son began to speak.

"Mudbloods, never heard of Gringott's before, what a travesty, probably don't have a single knut between the lot for a deposit," he said in a rather haughty voice.

"What does he mean by 'mudblood' I asked Edward, and I saw his visibly stiffen, "he means 'dirty blood' it's a term used to refer to those with non magical parents, I myself am a half blood, since magic ran on my mother's side," Edward whispered.

"Excuse me sir," I said my voice firm and regal, even if I was on my fiancé's back, "we may be travelers here, and so would not know that building we were referring to was a bank, but be that as it may you should not call strangers on the street such despicable names, you dishonor yourself!"

"Why you little brat, how dare you speak to me in that fashion!" the man said trying to make himself seem taller, until Nico gently put me down and gave me a soft and loving kiss upon my lips, then turned back to glower at the white haired man.

"Just who do you think you are?" Nico said in a deadly whisper, and everyone could feel the tension, as he awaited the answer.

"I am Lucius Malfoy, boy, Head of the Most Noble and Ancient House of Malfoy," the man responded, apparently angered at being questioned by a teenager.

"I see, and you think you are better than us because you're a full blooded wizard?" Nico said looking at Malfoy with derision in his eyes.

"Obviously, my status as head of my illustrious family allows me a greater precedence than you sniveling brats."
