Alice Quick in her own words would consider herself to be perfect. Okay she was not as self centered to make such a bold claim, however she just felt like she was perfect. At least her body was in her eyes. She had lived in New Orleans all of her life, she had developed earlier than her classmates, she was seen as a beauty throughout her time at school. She had gotten into modeling when she was a teenager but gave it up as it got boring. She had gotten into acting as a child but gave it up when she was overshadowed by a new girl. That seemed to be the story of her life, she tried things and when someone took her fire she gave up. It had been that way all her life.

She was 21 years old, when she got a notification on her phone. A brand new bar and nightclub had been opened near her new apartment. The Crimson Hide, owned mostly by a former basketball player named Jakobe Bradley's. Alice had been a bit down on her luck, never able to truly keep a job as she would give it up or get into it with managers that she assumed were just jealous of her because she was beautiful. Her father and mother had slightly cut her off, she had left college early, and just wasn't turning into a proper woman or a woman at all; she was still a little girl in some people's eyes. A spoiled little girl that needed to be taught a lesson.

So when she saw an application and went to the interview she had been hired almost instantly, and she had found her calling. A place where she could use her beauty to get just what a girl needed right now. A lot of money, she was not into men so it was easy to bring them up and then break their hearts later. This was just like acting to her, make them feel good and accepted and they would tip,and damn this nightclub tip like crazy. She also found that she had a calling in bartending, she was the best behind the bar the moment she learned. There was something fun about shaking a glass, making drinks, she even considered looking into becoming a drinkologist as it seemed to be something that she loved and wanted to get better at. Alice truly loved every aspect of this bar, and wanted to be there as long as she could.

However all that meant nothing if she got fired today.

And it seemed that might be where her 6 month career at the Crimson Hide might be heading.

See all of her fame and praise was starting to get to Alice's head. As she truly believed that she was the best of the best, the top of the top, the catch of the day. With those thoughts came wonders of "they can't risk firing me" she made the most tips, she got the most sales most of the time. She had only lost their monthly sales competition twice in her six months there, however in her mind she only lost because during those months her little sister Angelina had come down with a bad sickness, and Alice wanted to take care of her.

However, it was those ideas that made Alice truly believe she was untouchable. There was only one other girl in the club that could put up her numbers and that was a 22 year old woman that worked on the top floor of the bar, the club had two bars one upstairs and one downstairs. Miah was considered her equal but Alice had a feeling she was better than this Miah. If they lost Alice, then they would lose business, that is what she believed. So slowly but surely, she started to lose her hard work effort and that lazy spoiled side of her returned once more.

Coming in 15 minutes early, turned to coming in 15 minutes late.

Helping with the usual set up turned into getting her makeup ready during that time.

Helping stock the bar turned into just agreeing to give girls a bit of her tips at the end of the night to do it for her.

Yes ma'am, and no ma'am, started to turn into long eyerolls and whatevers to the older general managers, Tatiana Simmons, aka Mama Tati, and Mrs. Carter aka Aunt Carter, would ask her to do something or scold her. The only one who she still used more respectful words with, was the owner, the man that held 50 percent ownership of the club. Mr. Jakobe Bradley's. That was only because she knew a fact that no other worker there knew, he had lost his leg in an accident that also took his fiance from him. No one else cared to know, but she liked to know certain things.
