Lucy was safely nestled in layers of blankets and a warm cup of cocoa in her hands. "Are you okay now?" Wendy asked. Lucy nodded, smiling. "Arigato, Wendy-chan." Lucy said, making Wendy blushed and went away.

"Can you tell us the whole story now?" Erza asked. So Lucy started:

"I was going to Sabertooth to congratulate Sting, and I was directed to his room, where he was isolating himself, or so I thought. When I was allowed to come in, I was captured by some mages and they threw me into the dungeon. The bars were flowing with electricity, and my keys were taken. However, I have a friend, Saga, who brought me my meals everyday, and listened to my anger. I was fed up by being helpless, and wanted to escape. That day, Saga brought my food along with a small box. Inside the box was a button that was guaranteed to make me smile. Then I discussed my escape plan with him. When I was waiting for the time to escape, I pressed the button. Coincidentally, a man was in front of my cell, and he showed me a video of you guys, along with Gajeel and Levy, defeated. Everyone died in the video. That video gave me a trauma. Then he tossed me my keys because he seemed to know about my escape plan, and then you guys came." Lucy finished. Her voice was quivering a little on the sentence, 'everyone died in the video'.

Natsu remained silent, but he immediately stormed out of the room. Erza chased after him, "Hey wait! Natsu!"

Gray sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Just rest up. Leave the rest to us." He smiled before he went out too. Lucy looked at the closing door, and after the CLICK she sighed. She leaned backwards at the wall and looked up to the ceiling. The past few days have been hard. She put the cup on the bedside table and rummage through her skirt pocket. She took out a locket. She admired it with a sigh.

It was a beautiful silver, and it had small diamonds and sapphires surrounding the main part. She opened it, and stared at the picture with teary eyes. It was the picture of her mom.

- 1 week later -

Sting walked around the fountain for the 5th time, and Lector was getting annoyed. "What are you doing, Sting-kun?! Don't we have somewhere to go?" Lector said, the guild at his mind. Sting nodded. "Yeah, that's right. We do have somewhere to go." With that, he went to Lucy's apartment.

---

"Hey~ Lucy~" Sting yelled and knocked many times in front of her door. "Go away. She's out on a mission." The landlady said, coming out. "Really? When will she be back?" Sting asked. "The day after tomorrow I guess." She answered. An idea popped into Sting's head that very moment.

---

Sting was humming to himself as he looked around the store. What would be the best thing to give her? Rogue followed behind, rather bored. "Just pick anything!" He said. "No. No way. It have to be specia-" A certain necklace caught his attention. It was a gold chain with a heart. The words, 'He who holds the key can unlock my heart.' was on the heart. A shopkeeper approached them with a smile. "You have good eyes. That is a rare couple necklace. Here is the other one." The shopkeeper hold out another gold chain. On the end of the chain was a key. On the handle of the key was a heart. Sting immediately decided to buy them.

---

"Are you gonna give the necklace, like, right now?" Rogue asked, unsure. "Yes. Today is her birthday after all. I want to make it special." Sting said, looking at the present sitting on the table. He himself was wearing the key necklace. "Well then, I'm off." Sting grinned, and waved to Rogue. Rogue waved back, but when Sting is out of sight, he shook his head and sighed. "I got a bad feeling about this." He said, looking at Lector and Frosche.

---

"I'll protect you, Luce. Don't worry." Natsu said as they walked down the corridor to her house. Lucy smiled a sad smile. "Yeah." She said. She's glad that she had someone to rely on, that she's not in this alone. Lucy's heart rate picked up at the sight of a man in front of her front door. It was Sting. Her heart burned with excitement, hatred, and something else she couldn't figure out.
