Contrary to Elven history, Shezarr was not Lorkhan, any more than Alduin was Auri-El.

Shezarr was a mighty man empowered with the Way of the Voice who fought for men against the Ayleid High Elves. In combining Shezarr with both Shor and Lorkhan, (the equivalent of a Divine), the elves partly suppressed their own shame at being defeated by a mortal, but some of the Nords still remember the mighty deeds of Shezarr and look up to his courage, while others foolishly worship him as a God.

SHEZARR AND THE DIVINES by Faustillus Junius, Subcurator of Ancient Theology and Paleonumerology Imperial Library, tells us that,
"Shezarr fought against the Ayleids (the 'Heartland Highelves') on mankind's behalf. Then, for some unknown reason, he vanishes from the stage (presumably to help other humans elsewhere), and, without his leadership, the Ayleids conquer the humans and enslave them."

Some believe that Shezarr was killed by elven giants in ancient times, therefore we know that the Ayleids, that Shezarr was warring against, were giants.

According to the elves, Shezarr was also said to have sided,
". . . with Men after the creation of the world. Foreign gods (i.e., Elven ones) conspire against him and bring about his defeat, dooming him to the underworld. Atmoran myths depict him as a bloodthirsty warrior king who leads the Nords to victory over their Aldmeri oppressors time and again. Before his doom, Shor was the chief of the gods. Sometimes also called Children's God . . ."

Thus a collective understanding of these texts could lead us to the conclusion that after Shezarr defeated the Ayleids, (who had planned his destruction), in a great battle, he took a walk with a group of children and was not, for the All-Maker took him away.

The term "Children's God" gives us a totally different view of the character of this mighty hero from the Aldmeri's "bloody Shor". Clearly though this mighty man could stand valiant in the fight, drenched in the blood of evil foes, he was also tender hearted and gentle and loved by children. I envision that the last to see him were probably the children who then told the story.

In VARIETIES OF FAITH IN THE EMPIRE by Brother Mikhael Karkuxor I learned that,
"Shezarr was the spirit behind all human undertaking, especially against Aldmeri aggression. . . . In the present age of racial tolerance, Shezarr is all but forgotten."

Finally, you ask me whether or not Shezarr was a god and or did he ascend to godhood? No, I think not, for the nature of the All-Maker is that he is the One and Only God. Shezarr was only a mighty man empowered by the Spirit and Voice of the All-Maker.

And where did he go you ask? The All-Maker took him unto Himself, and there he is with Him until such a time as He shall cause him to return.
