Manchester, England.
Hanan sat at her wooden desk, surrounded by piles of dusty law textbooks and scattered notes. Her eyes stared blankly at the open page in front of her, the words blurring together in a jumbled mess. She had been struggling to focus on her studies lately, and it seemed like no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't seem to get her head back in the game.
The sun cast a warm glow through the window, illuminating the small, cluttered room, hanan's phone lay silent in the desk, a reminder of her neglect of her friends and family. It had been weeks since she last spoke with her friends, but she knows hooriya will understand , and with the course hooriya is studying she also needs to pay attention, she knows hooriya won't judge her, she's also caught up with her school life, but still hanan couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt every time she thought about it.
She had been so caught up in her own little world, trying to keep up in with her coursework and to navigate the challenges of law school, that she had neglected the people who mattered the most to her. Her friends, hooriya and her family, had been her rock, her support system, throughout her university days, but now, it seemed like she had abandoned them, left them to fend for themselves while she pursued her own ambitions.
Meanwhile, Aamir and mubaid were busy with their own lives. Both where passionate football players, tho they played for different teams. Despite been on opposing teams, they remained the best of friends, always supporting each other both on and off the field.
Aamir's practice took place on a state-of-the-art field, complete with lush green grass and top-notch facilities. He was a star player, known for his lightning-fast speed and his uncanny ability to score goals. Ah he practiced Aamir felt a sense of freedom and exhilaration that he couldn't find anywhere else.
Mubaid, on the other hand, practiced on a smaller field, surrounded by towering trees and the sound of birds chirping. He was a skilled player in his own right, known for his agility and his quick reflexes. As he practiced mubaid felt a sense of focus and determination that drove him to be his best.
As Aamir and Mubaid practiced, hanan say in her room, feeling increasingly overwhelmed. She couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off, that she was just going through the motions of her daily routine without any real sense of purpose or direction.
Just then, hanan's phone rang, shrill ringing piercing the silence. She jumped, startled, before reaching out to answer it. It was her mom, calling to check in. Hanan smiled, feeling a warmth in her heart as she answered the phone .
"Assalamu alaikum, mamah," hanan voice filled the line.
"Wa aliakum Salam, habibty dear," hajiya Amina replied, her voice warm and soothing. "How's law school going?"
Hanan hesitated, unsure of how to answer. She didn't want to worry her mom, but at the same time, she didn't want to lie to her either.
"It's......going, mamah" hanan said finally, trying to sound nonchalant.
I'm just really busy, that's all
Her mom sensed her hesitation. "Hanan, is everything okay? You sound a little......off."
Hanan sighed, feeling a lump in her throat. She didn't know hiw to explain what was found inside her head.
I'm just struggling a bit, mamah," hanan said finally, feeling a sense of relief was over her. "I don't know, it just feels like everything is getting on top of me."
Her mom listened attentively, offering words of encouragement and support. Hanan felt a sense of gratitude towards her mom, knowing that she could always count on her to be there for her.
