Manchester, England.

Hanan slowly opened her eyes, stretching her arms above her head. She yawned, feeling the softness of her pillow. Beside her, Hooriya stirred, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"Morning," Hanan whispered, smiling.

"Morning," Hooriya replied, her voice husky from sleep.

They both threw off their covers and got out of bed, heading to the bathroom for a refreshing shower. The warm water washed away their fatigue, and they felt invigorated and ready for their journey.

As they got dressed, Hanan slipped into a sleek black body-hugging dress, pairing it with a warm brown sweater jacket. She added brown pumps to complete her outfit and wrapped a elegant black veil around her head.

Hooriya, meanwhile, opted for a chic black skirt, pairing it with a black and white sweater. She wore a black veil to match Hanan's and finished her look with crisp white sneakers.

With their outfits sorted, they headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Scrambled eggs, toast, and fresh fruit made for a satisfying meal. As they ate, they made last-minute preparations, double-checking their luggage and travel documents.

With their bags packed and their bellies full, Hooriya pulled out her phone and ordered an Uber. "Our flight is leaving soon," she reminded Hanan. "We don't want to risk being late, especially with all our luggage."

Hanan nodded in agreement, taking one final look around their apartment. They had spent countless memories within these walls, and it was hard to say goodbye.

With a deep breath, they grabbed their bags and headed out the door, ready to start their new adventure with their lives.

As they arrived at the airport, Hanan and Hooriya expertly navigated the check-in process, dropped off their luggage, and proceeded to security. With their boarding passes in hand, they made their way to the gate, excitement building in their chests.

Once on board, they settled into their seats, stowed their carry-on bags, and buckled up. As the plane taxied down the runway, Hanan pulled out her phone and sent a quick message to her mom.

"Hey Maamah, Assalamualaikum , just wanted to let you know we're on our way. We'll be landing in 6 hours. Can't wait to see you soon! Love you."

She smiled, knowing her family would likely be sleeping due to the time difference, but she couldn't wait to surprise them upon arrival.

Hooriya, sitting beside her, was also typing away on her phone. "Hey, ya Arif, just boarding our flight. Will catch up with you soon! Take care."

As they stowed their phones and settled in for the long haul, the plane lifted off the ground, soaring into the clouds. Hanan and Hooriya exchanged a thrilled glance, grinning from ear to ear.

They were finally on their way home.

The plane touched down at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja. and Hanan felt a rush of excitement mixed with a hint of nervousness. She and Hooriya had spent the entire flight chatting, watching movies, and reminiscing about their time in Manchester.

As they made their way through customs and immigration, Hanan's senses were overwhelmed by the familiar sights and sounds of Nigeria. The vibrant colors, the cacophony of horns and chatter, and the warm tropical air all combined to create a sense of homecoming.

As they exited the airport, Hanan pulled out her phone and dialed Mubaid's number. "Hey, we're here," she said, excitement bubbling in her voice.

Mubaid arrived shortly, his warm smile a welcome sight. "Heyyy, sisters!" he exclaimed, helping them load their luggage into the boot of his car.
