The sun was about to set, the orange colors mixed up with a dark purple while as the clouds were fading away.

The borders between Kardia and Orodia has never been so guarded before. Yet no one was stopped as long as the guards check their faces and their carriages and whatever else they are carrying around with them.

The youngster was allowed in without running into any type of trouble. But watching how serious the guards and knights were looking for the prince did scare him out.

Yet there was nothing he could really do, since Elmer himself ordered him to go ahead without them.

Victor was very worried, but he knew very well that even if he stayed behind there wouldn't have been much that he could do to help.

"You should go ahead"

The prince said once Venator left the behind walking inside of the forest where the rest of the hunters.

"What do you mean, my prince?"

Victor's confused voice asked.

"Getting out of Kardia would be very challenging, I would like you to go first"

Elmer then replied.

Hawk stood there and decided not to interfere even though he thought that Elmer was doing the right thing.

They will not be going inside Orodia that easily and having Victor tag along would be troubling as it was for the best to keep him away from the battlefield if things went the wrong way which was  a high possibility.

And left with no other choice, Victor had to leave first.

Far away from Orodia and inside the royal palace, the second prince was coming out of Edmund's room heading towards the garden.

It seemed like even he needed some fresh air and some time to think to himself.

While walking around, he noticed a human figure standing in front of a tree and looking up.

"Do not be afraid, come down"

Ivor's calm voice said to the little black cat who made her way up and could not find a way down.

The man offered his arm that wasn't too far from the kitten's reach, and even though it was scary, it took her a few seconds to jump, yet not into his arms but on the top of his head.

Which did mess his hair up, but he had no scratches.

Ivor carried the kitten in between his arms gently and asked as if he could get a reply.

"How did you get here?"

The kitten's meowed while rubbing her head against his hands, it seemed like he did easily gain her trust.

"Good evening"

Louis said approaching the king's advisor who was putting the kitten down.

"Good evening my prince"

Ivor smiled replying.

The kitten was happily jumping on his legs to get his attention.

"She likes you"

Louis said.

"You think so?"

Ivor kneeled down patting the cat's black fur, he then added,

"I like cats"

The prince was a little surprised by that, he found himself smiling at that sight.

"Why don't you take her in?"

Louis found himself asking.

Ivor went quiet for a while before replying.

"You know, you might spend some beautiful years with a cat, but for cats, it's almost their whole life spent with you, don't you think it's unfair?"

The advisor then asked.

Louis was caught off guard since he has never thought about it that way. Yet no matter how much Ivor's words made sense, he could not bring himself to fully agree with it.

"What is so wrong with that?"

Louis replied.

"Sometimes it is worth spending your whole life with someone, is it not?"

The second prince then asked.

Ivor's eyes where taken by those words, as if they did bring back many memories to him in that exact moment.

He felt that he did not have to regret a single thing, it was not just a wasted time, after all, he did all of those thing because to him those people were worth it.

"I guess you are right, prince Louis"

Ivor smiled replying.

The sun went down and the moon came up very clearly in the middle of that starry night.

Clair stepped out of her room in the shadows of the night where nothing was to be seen unless the moon light's reflected on it.

She tried her best to close the door without making a sound, or else Violet would wake up, and she would not be able to handle her friend's curiosity.

She walked down the stairs in her light white dress.

The scene of her running through the roses garden, past the fountain felt very magical.

Clair stopped midway, hidden far away from the knight's rooms. It seemed like she was waiting for something to happen.

Not long after, a very familiar knight walked out of his room, he was recognized for his dark hair and figure.

Ezra was heading outside to do his regular night watch.

Once he was no longer seen, she slowly walked towards his room.

She opened the door and stepped in closing it behind her.

"Just like Aylin said, he leaves the door open"

Clair said while wondering around the room.

It was bigger than she thought and it was very neat and nice looking.

"Oh, he reads"

She said checking the books on his table. Before walking towards the corner of the room where he had some swords and arrows.

"He takes good care of his belongings"

Clair smiled through he blushing face, she felt excited knowing she was somewhere she was not supposed to be and because she was discovering more about the person she likes.

While she was happily looking around while the owner of the room was away.

"Asher"

Ezra said once he spotted his red haired friend.

"What are you doing here? it is supposed to be my watch tonight"

Ezra wondered.

"I will do it, go get some rest"

Asher replied.

Ezra did seem to be exhausted the whole day, Asher caught him coughing multiple time during their training day.

"Am fine"

Ezra replied trying to laugh it off but that did not work on his friend who did his forehead replying,

"Go back and rest while am being nice"

Asher said before he walked away.

Ezra was left with no choice but to head back to his room.

'I could use some sleep, I will make it up to him later'

Ezra thought to himself before reaching to the door's handle.

He opened the door to a different sight...
