STL To MOS (San Antonio To Moscow)
Hyunjie and Maya meticulously oversaw the cargo shipment's processing, scrutinizing each container to ensure none went missing. They diligently monitored customs clearance, meticulously verified loading procedures and tracked precise transportation arrangements. Every detail counted.
As their task concluded, they exchanged a discreet, relieved glance. "Our part's done," Maya whispered softly, her eyes locking onto Hyunjie's. "Now, let's get to Moscow and finalize Champ's high-stakes arrangements with Leonid Volkov." Hyunjie nodded, her expression focused. "Time to play our roles."
Hyunjie and Maya confidently briefed Champ, "Everything's in order, Champ. Customs clearance, loading, and transportation checks are complete. All systems are go." Champ nodded, seemingly reassured. "Excellent work. Now, let's finalize preparations for Moscow. Our aircraft will be ready shortly. Pack up, ladies. We depart soon."Standing alone in the dimly lit comfort room, Hyunjie's gaze fell upon her phone lying on the sink. She picked it up, her mind racing with weighty decisions. Should she secretly sabotage Champ's shipment operation or immediately notify the FBI about their impending departure? The risks and consequences of each option hung precariously in the balance.
With a deep breath, she pushed aside her doubts and tucked the phone into her pocket. Locking eyes with her reflection, she steeled herself. "Okay, I'll see this through," she whispered firmly, preparing to face whatever lay ahead.
Hyunjie's determined gaze lingered in the mirror before she exited the comfort room, her expression serene. Champ and Maya were engrossed in last-minute discussions. "Vladimir will escort us to Volkov," Champ said, handing Maya documents. "Stay vigilant." Hyunjie approached, her phone discreetly vibrating in her pocket – an unseen reminder of unfinished business.
Champ's sleek black sedan, surrounded by heavily tinted escort vehicles, led the convoy into the San Antonio airport's private terminal. Maya and Hyunjie trailed behind in a separate car, their faces hidden behind darkened glass. Vladimir, dressed in a tailored suit, stood poised beside the idling private jet. His eyes narrowed, scrutinizing the arriving group. The terminal's fluorescent lights cast an eerie glow on his tense expression, and the private plane's engines hummed softly, ready for departure.
Vladimir's fingers drummed impatiently against his thigh as he paced across the terminal. He pulled out his phone and dialed a familiar number. The soft ring broke the silence. "Hey, what's the plan? They're arriving now," Vladimir said, voice low and urgent. A pause. "You know I have no choice – Volkov's influence is too valuable. I must see this through, Eclipse. The stakes are too high to back out." His eyes scanned the terminal, monitoring Champ's men. "Yes, I'm aware of the risks... no, I won't compromise... Eclipse, trust me, I'll handle it."
The mysterious voice on the line resonated with gravitas, echoing through Vladimir's phone. "I know, but remember, Volkov's empire is the prize. Just keep your priorities straight, and protect Hyunjie Delano at all costs. Her safety is crucial, Vladimir." A hint of urgency tinged Eclipse's words.Vladimir's grip on the phone tightened, his eyes narrowing. "I know, Eclipse," he replied, his voice measured and reassuring. With a decisive nod, he ended the call, his gaze locking onto Hyunjie, now exiting the car.
Vladimir's face transformed into a charming smile as Champ, Maya and Hyunjie approached. "Hey, Champ! Good to see you, my friend!" He extended a manicured hand. Before Champ could respond, a burst of gunfire shattered the calm. Maya and Hyunjie instinctively ducked, shielding their heads. Vladimir's eyes widened, his smile faltering.
Champ's voice rose in alarm. "What the hell is going on?!" He glared at Vladimir, eyes blazing.Vladimir's face twisted in confusion. "I... I don't know!" He spread his hands, signaling his innocence.
Champ's men rushed forward, guns drawn. "Champ! Someone's breaching the perimeter!" one shouted urgently.
