Sometimes I wish, I
Melt in his voice relentlessly,
Rather than a broken fantasy,
Of him absent in my life, endlessly.

Sometimes I wish, I
Could freeze the moment,
Rather than missing him,
Every second, in the world’s moment.

Sometimes I wish, I
Could be the past me,
Rather than mumbling his name,
All night, inside the sheet.

Sometimes I wish, I
Photograph his smile with eyes,
Instead of capturing the virtual in digital.

Sometimes I wish, I
Lost in the blur between fantasy and realism,
Being numb to the heartache.
