My Pokémon Adventure

The adoption center

I finally arrived at the adoption center in Beytree Town after all the battles with the youngsters and the lasses. I entered the center and stood in line.

The little girl in front of me was wearing costume butterfly wings and the cute antennae and she adopted a Sewaddle. When she turned around she bumped into me.

"Oh sorry sir!" Then she walked out the door.

I finally got to the front of the line and dropped of the egg.

"Hey," I asked, "How much is it to adopt a Pokémon?"

"P1000" said the woman, "Eggs are free."

"Okay then," I said, "One egg please!"

The woman handed me a random egg.

I walked out and noticed two men in grey and white suits.

"Luxury Admin Grim should be here any moment now," said the first man.

"Hey!" said the second man, "what're you looking at, punk?"

I tried to turn around but the man caught up to me.

"Hey punk! You're not getting out of this easily! Go Houndour!"

Before he threw his Poké Ball, the other man stopped him.

"I can't believe you're starting a fight with a random person! He doesn't even know what we're up to!"

"Get back if you're too chicken! Houndour! Get 'em!"

I studied type matchup so I sent out Oshawott.

"Water gun!" I yelled.

Oshawott sprayed the dog Pokémon and it went down.

"No!" The man whined.

The second man stood up and said, "I'm not one for a fight, but if I have to save my friend, I'll do it!"

He had a Poochyena only, so I beat him.

"Let's get outta here!" yelled the first man, "Sorry sir Grim, the meeting place has been compromised."

They dashed down a dark ally. I was too scared to follow. The town didn't have much to offer except the adoption center and the Pokémon Center, so I healed my Pokémon and headed for Drilbit Town. It was the next town with a gym.
