The Champion

"I just became the Champion," said Scarlett, "I'm not going to give that up so easily!"

"Of course you're not," I said, "Give it all you've got!"

I was ready to win. I had an adrenaline rush and sent out my first Pokémon with the most energy I've ever had.

"Go, Leafeon," I called.

"Go, Lapras," called Scarlett.

Phew. The first round and I already have a type advantage. Oh wait, so does she.

"Leafeon! Use Leaf Blade!"

Leafeon slashed at Lapras in a flurry of leaves.

"Lapras! Use Blizzard!"

Lapras breathed out an extreme wind of snow and ice.

"Leafeon! Hold on!"

Unfortunately, the Blizzard attack was so strong that Leafeon fainted.

"Go, Medicham! Use High Jump Kick!"

I was so glad that I finally knocked out Lapras.

"Go, Tyranitar!"

"Use High Jump Kick, Medicham!"

Medicham hit Tyranitar, but it didn't faint.

"Tyranitar! Use Thunder Wave!"

Medicham was too paralyzed to move the next turn so Scarlett got an extra hit.

"Tyranitar! Use Earthquake!"

Medicham was knocked out after it tried to use High Jump Kick, but it failed.

"Go, Krookodile! Use Earthquake!"

Krookodile used Earthquake and Tyranitar fainted.

"Go, Froslass! Use Hail!"

Ice chunks started falling from the sky, or the ceiling in this case, and they damaged Krookodile.

"Krookodile! Use Stone Edge!"

Froslass easily dodged the stones.

"Froslass's Snow Cloak, baby!" Scarlett said, "It boosts it's evasiveness in Hail. Now, Froslass, use Blizzard!"

A Blizzard blew from behind Froslass and enveloped Krookodile. Krookodile fainted when the Blizzard stopped.

"Go, Ninetales! Use Sunny Day!"

The Hail stopped and was replaced by sunlight.

"Froslass! Use Shadow Ball!"

Ninetales was hit but remained healthy.

"Ninetales! Use Fire Blast!"

Of course, Froslass fainted.

"Go, Gallade!"

"Ninetales! Use Fire Blast one more time!"

Gallade held on and used Close Combat but Ninetales also held on.

"Use Fire Blast again!"

Gallade fainted but the sunlight wore off.

"Go, Noivern! Use Hurricane!"

Noivern flapped its gigantic wings and the Hurricane came out as an air cannon but extremely stronger. Ninetales fainted.

"Go, Samurott!"

"Use, Hurricane, Noivern!"

Samurott managed to hold on despite the powerful attack.

"Samurott! Use Ice Beam!"
