Chapter 13: Clash

Sakura: "Well, now that things are really heating up, we can truly begin our fight."
Kashimo narrows his eyes, a smirk playing on his lips as he redraws his sword.
Kashimo: "Then bring it. Show me what you’ve got, little Leaf ninja."
Without hesitation, he hurled his sword toward Sakura.
Sakura: "Huh?!"
The blade, coated in wind chakra, sliced through the air with deadly precision. Sakura ducked, feeling the edge graze her hair. She sprung back, her heart pounding with fear.
Sakura (thinking): "He's not holding back. If I make one wrong move, I’m dead."
She flicked her wrist, releasing three shuriken aimed at Kashimo’s chest.
Kashimo: "Wind Style: Gale Palm!"
A gust of wind coming from Kashimo palm redirected the shuriken back toward her. Sakura reacted instinctively, weaving signs.
Sakura: "Earth Style: Earth Style Wall!"
An earthen barrier rose before her and the shuriken got embedded into the earth wall.
Sakura: "Alright, clones, protect Mr. Tazuna. Stay in Manji formation no matter what happens make sure Tazuna stays safe."
Clones (in unison): "Got it!"
Kashimo (mocking): "Giving orders like a captain already? Cute but it doesn't matter girl."
Kashimo formed a new series of hand signs .
Kashimo: "Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!"
The blazing sphere crashed into Sakura’s wall, reducing it to rubble.  Sakura is nowhere to be seen amidst the debris.
Kashimo (thinking): "Hiding won’t save you."
Sakura, concealed by the smoke, pulled out five kunai strapped with explosive tags. She hurled them toward Kashimo.
Kashimo: "Too predictable. Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!"
The kunai are blown back toward the rubble.
Sakura (thinking): "Perfect."
As the wind meets the explosives, the tags detonate in a massive explosion.
BOOOOOM!!!
The shockwave ripples across the battlefield, leaving a smoldering crater.
Kashimo (coughing): "Is that all you’ve got?"
Sakura: "Not even close."
Sakura's voice comes from behind. Kashimo turned, but it’s too late. He felt a sharp pain in his back as Sakura kunai pierced him..
Kashimo: "What?! You were in front of me!"
Sakura: "No, I wasn’t."
She twists the kunai,  making a blood stain on kashimo shirt.
Sakura: "You were trapped in a genjutsu this whole time.
A basic one Kakashi-sensei taught me. You’re pathetic, Kashimo."
Kashimo - Well Well I guess you're not as weak as i thought.
Kashimo (laughing through the pain): "Well played, but it doesn’t matter."
His body explodes, forcing Sakura to leap back with Tazuna in tow. Kashimo reappears, unharmed.
Kashimo: "The one you put in a genjutsu was just a clone strapped with explosive tags. I wanted to see if you’d fall for it—and you did."
Kashimo - stupid little girl!
Sakura (smirking): "Not bad. Looks like you’ve got some fight in you after all."
Kashimo: "Enough games. Let’s fight for real. I've got to end this quickly."
Kashimo charged with his sword, aiming a thrust at Sakura’s chest.
Sakura (thinking): "Focus. Chakra in my fists for power, my feet for movement.  I need to stay sharp."
Sakura ducked under the blade, latching onto Kashimo's shoulder using him as a boost to flip over his shoulders with a burst of speed. Before he could react, she swept his legs and drove her fist into his chest.
Kashimo coughed blood,  as he struggled to stand.
Kashimo: "You’re good, and you’ve pushed me far too far."

Flashback
Kashimo: "Gato, what will this curse mark do to me?"
Gato: "Why don’t you test it and find out?"
Gato -” Remember Kashimo that Snake Orochimaru gave me the serum for some money of mine
So make it of use your my strongest and most reliable soldier i trust you and only you with his power tap into its latent strength
Gato - Also get her off your mind why are you still thinking about her as your sister. She died 14 years ago.

Kashimo: "Animal Curse Mark Stage 1: Wolf
Kashimo’s body swells, his nails sharpening into claws. His muscles bulged, and his stature grew, wolf-like features overtaking his human form.
Sakura: "This is bad."
Sakura - “ Really bad”
Kashimo grinned, his voice deepened.
Kashimo: "Bad for you alright."
He exhaled a gale-force wind, sending Sakura hurling back. She dug her feet into the ground, trying to stop herself, but the force was too much.
