Chapter three.
The next few days at school went well, better than well actually. I enjoyed my time, most of my lessons were at least bearable and I'd found a great group of friends hang out with.
"C'mon lunch times almost over" Chloe sighed standing up from the grass.
we'd all sat in the park not too far from school during lunch time.
"Fine" Finn mumbled following her.
I picked up my bag and stood up, glancing down at Jacob. he took one last drag of his cigarette and followed us rolling his eyes.
"So what time shall we get to your tonight mate?" Finn asked Jacob.
"Around eight is" Jacob shrugged.
"Shall we bring drinks?" I asked him.
"Can do babe" he smiled back placing his hand on my lower back.
Chloe noticed Jacob's actions and raised her eyebrows at me, i shrugged my shoulders in response.
Chloe and Finn aren't together but you can tell they'd both like to be, i wouldn't be surprised if somethings already happened between them.
"You'll get to meet Beth, Stacy and Luke tonight as well" Chloe says to me, they must be the other people coming to Jacobs tonight.
"Yeah" I nod.
"Actually i think Stacy is in the same english class as you babe" Jacob says.
"Oh is that the girl with long black hair, quite tall?' I ask looking up at Jacob.
"Yeah thats her" he nods.
"Well I've got english now, I'll say hi to her"

Mr Danvers talked about poetry and the English Literature exam we'd take at the end of the year for GCSE.
He handed out the book of poems and read some of them aloud to us.
Listening to his voice made the poems sink in and really gave a deeper meaning to each and every word.
one of the reasons i've always enjoyed english lessons, particularly literature is because there no right or wrong. its all about interpretations and what you think, what you believe.
you can express your inner self much more than you can in any other lesson and it doesn't even feel like work to me, its just exploration of your mind, your thoughts and feelings.
I began to notice the way Mr Danvers face spoke more than his voice, everything he read showed how he felt and what he thought by the way his eyebrows furrowed, the look within his eyes.
he ran his hands through his hair in-between sentences and often glance around the classroom as he leaned against his desk.
his eyes fell on me once or twice and in those moments it was like nothing else was real.
Yes I'm fully aware of how stupid that sounds but have you ever had a moment where everything stops? where theres nothing but whatever caught your attention?
Well thats exactly what happened when Mr Danvers looked at me.
In those moments it seemed like it meant more to him too, but that was probably a figment of my imagination.
the class ended far too quickly for my liking as i gathered my things to leave I noticed Stacy in front of me.
"Stacy?" I asked as i approached her.
"Hi" she said looking slightly confused, not that i could blame her she had no idea who was or why i was speaking to her out of the blue
"Sorry, I'm new here and a friend of Jacobs. he mentioned you were in my english class and i just thought i'd say hi" I mumbled wishing i hadn't even bothered to introduce myself.
"Oh right, are you coming tonight?" she asked smiling and seeming a little less uncomfortable.
"yeah I am" I nodded.
"lovely, hopefully we can get to know each other a little better tonight" She said as we began walking out of the classroom.

"You look nice" Mum said as i entered the living room.
"you don't think its too much?" I asked motioning to the black body con dress i was wearing.
"No its just a simple plain dress" she smiled.
"Have a nice time tonight and look after your self" she added.
"I will promise" I replied kissing her on the cheek.
Mum knew I drank when I went out with friends and she also knew people where even more relaxed about drinking here than they were in america so she had a good idea what i'd be up to tonight.
"Good, make sure all your friends stay safe too" she smiled following me into the kitchen.
I grabbed a bottle of vodka and a bottle of sambuca out of the cupboard.
"I'll see you later, i shouldn't be too late but don't wait up" I waved as i headed towards the door.
When I arrived at Jacobs house i was a little nervous this was different to hanging out at school or lunch time, after all I'd only met everyone four days ago.
I knocked on the door and played with the rings on my finger while i nervously waited for Jacob to answer.
"There you are" he grinned grabbing my arm and pulling me into his house.
"here i am" i laughed.
"C'mon then Miss 'Merica lets get pissed" he said leading me into the living room where Chloe, Finn and a girl I'm presuming to be beth where already sat.
I sat down next to Chloe and picked up a plastic cup from the table pouring some vodka in.
"You got lemonade?" I asked Jacob.
"sure babe come with me" he said leading me into his kitchen.
he grabbed the bottle from the fridge and poured some into my cup.
"I'm really glad you came tonight y'know" he said stepping a little closer to me.
"Me too" i muttered looking up into his brown eyes.
Brown eyes can often be described as dull and boring but not Jacobs they were quite captivating really.
Jacob placed his hand on my waist and leaned in.
"Hey guys have you got any shot glasses in here" Finn said entering the kitchen instantly causing Jacob and i to pull apart.
"erm yeah in that top cupboard mate" Jacob mumbled rubbing the back of his neck and rolling his eyes.
"cant get you alone eh" Jacob laughed quietly as we headed back into the living room.
"shame isn't it" I teased.
"very much so" Jacob muttered as he sat down beside me on the sofa.
The evening went on in a blur of music, alcohol and cigarettes.
I'd smoked back in america, usually just when I'd a drink. it was a habit i particular wanted to keep up but there was something appealing about it once id had a few drinks.
Luke was telling a story about something he'd witness in a club last weekend.
I wasn't particuarly listening but that wasn't anything personal towards Luke, Jacob was distracting me.
He'd placed his hand on my thigh giving me a slight squeeze every now and then.
I had my head rested against his shoulder and we were currently sharing a cigarette.
"come with me" he whispered into my ear.
I stood up with him laughing as the alcohol went to my head.
Jacob lead me out of the living room, up the stairs and into his bedroom.
as he shut the door behind us he leaned over me and pressed his lips against mine.
the kiss was soft, it was nice actually.
"I've wanted to do that since i first saw you, oh and that accent don't even get me started" He said his lips hovering just above mine.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer allowing us to kiss again.
this time it was deeper and lasted longer. there was something about kissing Jacob, it seemed different to other guys. I very much enjoyed it.
"you don't know how much i want you right now" he murmured as his lips slowly grazed my neck.
I hummed in approval and also in agreement to his statement.
"But not tonight babe, you should be sober" he said pulling back from me.
I very much admire him saying that, it speaks great lengths about the kind of person he is. a lot of guys wouldn't think twice about sleeping with a girl who was up for it, which i would have been.
But Jacob knew that even though i was drunk and would have consented it still wasn't the same as making the decision when sober.
"Fine" I rolled my eyes unable to overlook the fact that i really wanted him right now.
Jacob kissed me again running his hands through my hair.
"Fuck your killing me" He whined.
"lets go down stairs then" I said taking his hand.
"good idea" he muttered following me.
"There you two are" Chloe giggled.
I decided not to mention i'd walked in on her and Finn having a rather intense makeup session on the kitchen counter a few hours earlier.
"Anyway mate we were thinking of heading off its getting late" Luke said standing to his feet.
"sure, yeah" Jacob nodded rubbing the back of his neck.
he does that a lot i've noticed.
everyone began gathering their things and heading home.
"You could stay" Jacob said to me running his hand along my waist.
"I could but I think we both know its best if i don't"
"You're right" he rolls his eyes and pulls me in for a last kiss, this time its soft much like the first one.
"I'll see you later babe" he murmurs holding my waist keeping me near him.
"Ok" I reply softly.
"Sure you'll be ok walking home?" he asks.
"yeah I'll be fine" I say running a hand through his messy hair not looking away from his eyes.
"bye then" he sighs kissing my forehead before letting go of my waist.
I take a few steps backwards.
"see you later, I had a nice time tonight" I laugh.
"me too" he smirks waving goodbye to me.
I make my way down the street, the walk home is only about fifteen minutes give or take.
the street lights guide my way as i wobble on my heels that were slightly too high for me, even when i was sober that is.
the stars shine brightly and i find myself stopping still staring up at them totally mesmerised.
"are you ok there?" a slightly familiar voice calls from behind me.
I turn around to see who's speaking to me.
"Arron?"
My eyes focus on who's stood in front of me
