Chapter 5

I woke up and looked at my phone..today was Brit's 16th birthday. We had practice today but Brit was coming. So I knew I was going to be lonely at practice today. I commented under her old prom picture to wish her a happy birthday.

I got ready for practice and headed that way. My dad dropped me off of course since I was staying with him for the summer. But I was going home tonight because I was going to the movies with my friends tonight. Well some of them. But I had to be home around 10 cause we had games at Grady tomorrow.

After practice I went back to my mom's and chilled. I called up my bestfriend Kasia. She answered. I had to make sure she was still going to the movies tonight and of course she was. I told her I was buying the popcorn if she bought the drink and she agreed. Plus I had a popcorn bucket that Jaime bought me when we went to the movies in April.

Speaking of Jaime...I wasn't speaking to him. I was busy but other than that he was a jerk all the time. And why deal with a jerk? So I erased the text I was about to send him.

I checked my social media and saw Brit wrote back under her picture

I was the only person she commented back to. So I felt special. After that I texted Kasia.

Me:You know how you was saying you was bi and all that?

Wifey💞:Yeah😂

Me: I think I am fr.😳

Wifey💞: Yeah I am too.😌😂

Me: No...look ill show you tonight.

Wifey💞: okay 😂

At the movies all me & Kasia did was catch up. We hardly watched the movie. We just talked. I had missed my bestfriend.

I showed her the messages and I showed her a picture of Brit. She just laughed at me the whole time.

" she looks like me." Kasia said.

"Oh yeah, she kinda does." I said.

I never really noticed that. Maybe that's why Brit looked so familiar to me. That had to be why.

I thought tonight I'd be out celebrating brit's birthday with her but she didn't wanna do anything. She just wanted her phone and her license. I didn't blame her tho.

The next day I woke up and got ready for our games at the school. My bestfriend from elementary school, Khloe, was coming to my games today along with all my fam so I planned to show out.

When Khloe and her mom got there I was already in the game.. We were up 20 by now and it was the 4th quarter. About 2 minutes into the 4th, I got a steal and had a wide-opened lay up but I missed it. But luckily Brit was behind me and put it in. I scored twice before I was taken out for the rest of the game. I sat back and cheered my teammates on.

I went to greet Khloe and her mom after the game . They were sitting with my family. Everyone told me good job. Then after we talked for a bit... I introduced Brit to Khloe. I convinced them both to ask to come over my house and coming swimming since it was only 3 and our last game had just ended. Brit brought her little sister Ashlyn who was really cool for her age. I had to watch her and my brother tho.

Brit was still kinda mad at me from telling Kasia about us. Oh yeah. Earlier today I told Brit that Kasia about us and she got mad at me. I'd never made her mad before and I never wanted to again after she looked at me.

She was just worried that Kasia would think we were gay and maybe tell someone but I reassured her that Kasia would never tell but I told Kasia I was playing and she probably thought nothing of it... I hope.
