THE COUPLE WAS WALKING THROUGH TARGET, picking up some last minute things they needed before they took of for the summer. "this is literally gonna be like- a world tour." josie giggled, picking up a few things of hair ties and deodorant. paige dropped a bunch of random things in the cart, nodding her head. "damn p! how many times are you gonna brush your teeth?" josie picked up the five packages of toothpaste paige had dropped in, her eyes wide. "well, that's for the both of us. and you know i'm an overpacker!"
josie sighed, picking up a few boxes of tampons and pads for the both of them. "how long are we staying in seattle? i need to make sure i pack my nika jerseys if we're going to see a couple of games." josie asks the blonde, who was discretely trying to lead them to the trufru. she side eyes her girlfriend who's distracted, before throwing three bags of trufru in the cart.
"babe. did you not hear about kk? she's literally in the hospital right now because of this." josie crosses her arms over her chest, remembering the hours she spent of the phone with the rising sophomore.
paige nodded, clearly not caring enough to put the bags back. they continued walking through the store, stopping to look at random things and saying hi to fans whenever they were stopped. "okay, i'm thinking we go back to the place and repack, rest for a little, then head over to the airport again?" paige said as she was picking up the bags, holding as many as she could. josie agreed silently, picking up what was left of the bags and walked towards her car. the sun was beginning to set as they made their way to the parking lot, the warm glow of the evening light casting a golden hue over everything. josie pushed the cart toward the car, glancing over at paige, who was now juggling a half dozen bags in her arms with surprising ease.
"so, seattle. you still don't know how long we're staying?" josie asked, raising an eyebrow. she knew paige could tell the nerves were eating at her.
paige shrugged nonchalantly. "I'm thinking like a week? maybe longer if we get caught up with nika and stuff. You know how it is."
josie shook her head, smiling despite herself. "you're impossible. we need to plan this out better, especially if we're going to all of nikas games." paige opened the trunk and started tossing bags in, still not giving josie a clear answer, which made her incredibly anxious when it came to packing. "we'll figure it out when we get there, jos. c'mon, you know you're always overthinking these things." paige wrapped her arms around josies shoulders, shaking her lightly.
josie rolled her eyes, slamming the trunk closed with a little more force than necessary. "you're lucky i like you." paige grinned and leaned in, planting a quick kiss on her cheek. "i know. now, let's get this show on the road. I'm hungry, and if we don't eat soon, I'll have a stroke."
Josie chuckled, sliding into the driver's seat. "You're dramatic."
Paige threw herself into the passenger seat, buckling up. "I'm not dramatic, i'm passionate. there's a difference." She smirked as she pulled out her phone, scrolling through some messages. josie started the car, the familiar hum of the engine filling the space between them. As they pulled out of the parking lot, josie couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and exhaustion. This summer was going to be a whirlwind, but she couldn't wait to see where it took them—seattle, and being able to watch their relationship develop.
"Next stop, food and then the house, then airport," josie said, eyes on the road, but her smile never fading. paige hummed in agreement, still lost in her phone. "Sounds perfect."

well, that's a wrap. officially. this has literally been the longest journey, but i wouldn't have had it any other way. i thank you all for your endless love and support on this book, and in the future, there will definitely be more to come.
i think i put off writing for this book because i was genuinely so attached to paige and josie's dynamic that i didn't want to let go. but, all things must come to an end. ☹️☹️
