JOSIE WALKED AROUND THE AFTER DRAFT PARTY, HOLDING A DIRTY SHIRLEY IN HER HAND. "JOSIE!" jada ran up to the girl, wrapping her arms around the shorter girls neck. "JADA!" josie smiled, wrapping her free arm around her middle. they stayed in the embrace a few seconds longer, before they both pulled away smiling. "oh my gosh, it's been so long. i feel like everything i was trying to remember to tell you just like- flew out of my mind. or maybe it's the vodka. i'm not really sure." josie rambled, waving her hands around as she and jada had a conversation. caitlin snuck up behind her, pinching her sides.
"what the fuck- CC!" the brunette smiled, pulling the basketball star into a hug. "i'm so proud of you, i know you are going to be great." josie whispered in the girls ear, practically feeling her nerves coming off of her in waves. caitlin melted into the girls arms, wrapping her arms around josie's waist tightly. "i missed you." caitlin hid her face in josie's neck, a habit that josie finds absolutely adorable.
"alright, where's my hug?" kate laughed, holding her arms out. "that's so like- 'where's my hug at' hey mamas lesbian core, kate." josie took a sip of her drink, wrapping her arms around the taller girls neck to bring her closer. "also, i told you that you would get drafted. kate martin- las vegas aces. absolutely insane." she smiles, squeezing kate one more time before letting go.
"ugh, i have missed you guys so much." josie smiles, looking around the room. "we missed you more!" jada smiled, interlocking her arm with kate's. "when do you guys have to fly out?" caitlin shrugged, kate having the exact same reaction. "absolutely useless. i feel like maybe your coach mentioned this to you?" josie rolled her eyes, swallowing the finishing sip of her drink.
paige watched josie's every move from across the room, not enjoying how handsy caitlin was being with her. she nodded along with whatever nika was telling her, trying to pretend like she was listening. "girl, quit staring. and listen to me! this is important." nika slapped paige's shoulder, getting the girl out of her trance. the blonde mumbled a quiet apology, adjusting her hips as she finally listened to what nika was saying.
"hey guys!" josie giggled, walking up to the girls who were sitting on the couch. "hi jojo." nika smiled, helping the girl sit in the middle of her and paige. josie leaned into paige, looking around the room. "i had the best conversation with cameron brink earlier. i told her that we were gonna get married." josie sighed, playing with paige's fingers. "oh really?" paige snorted, looking down at the girl. "yeah. she said she would have to talk to her man about it first. but it's happening either way." josie rambled, looking up at paige.
"can you believe that you are gonna be here next year?" the brunette scanned her eyes over paige's face, using her finger to fix the smudged mascara under her eye. paige sighed, looking around the room. "yeah. i can." the blonde took a sip of her drink, thinking about the girl in her arms. josie had made it clear on multiple occasions that playing in the W was nowhere on her mind, and college was where she would finish her basketball career. paige still has yet to come to terms with that. "i just wish that you would be getting drafted with me though." josie rolled her eyes at paige, moving to stand up. the blonde tightened her hold around her waist, bringing her even closer to her chest. "where you going, jos?" she smirked, squeezing her hips teasingly.
"hopefully back to the hotel." she mumbled, looking at her phone. "hey, your ordering the uber right? my feet are killing me and im beyond ready for a shower." she threw her head back, looking up at paige through her eyelashes. the blonde nodded, picking up her phone. "yeah, ill go ahead and order the uber. can you tell nika that we are going to head out?" josie nodded, getting up to look for the croatian girl.
paige opened the door to their hotel room, laughing at josie who ran to the bed. "you still want first shower or-"
"yes! you take way too long and i would like to have a hot shower."
