My eyes flutter open slowly. My head is pounding and I feel as though I was floating on clouds. I wake up with the realization that I had been sleeping in class. Not again. I try so hard to stay awake...

But something is not right. I can smell hospital. Yes, I said hospital. I have a sixth sense and know that I am not in school. School has a toxic waste smell of sewage and over used perfume. Whereas, a hospital has a sterile and clean smell.

"Rochelle, honey. Do you want some ice tea?". My mum says in a shaky and very uneasy voice. She loved ice teas so much yet she knew I hated it so much but always offered it to me constantly.

I am in the hospital. Usually your actual home would be your first home. But not for me the hospital is my first home. Test and even more tests. Blood tests, ECG and X-rays. But for reasons unexplained. They never found anything. It is as if the doctors loved seeing my face.

Doctor Chandra had a look on his face that I had never seen before.

I have a small sparkling feeling of glee. After years of tests and of wondering what was wrong with me. I would finally find out. But from the look on every ones face. I was the only happy one. I had intense feeling of fear and worry.

Doctor says " You can go home, there is nothing wrong."

At this point a sane person would be so happy. To find out you are normal, that there is nothing stopping you. But I was not excepting it. I just knew myself and I knew something was wrong. This may sound silly but I could feel it. It wasn't a good feeling!

I am going to except the fact that there is nothing wrong with me for now. But I will investigate. I just know myself. I just do...

" Time to go home love. I will cook us your speciality honey. Pick anything you want and on our way home we will quickly go to the supermarket".

I rolled my eyes because I knew my mum could see the anzious feeling I had. She would always speak to fill the void of an awkward silence.
