Ch. 16 ~ Truth and Lies

Dian learned his son Griffin in a secret relationship evokes a mix emotions. He started to feel concerned about Griffin hiding an important event of his life from him and Theo. He's not against his choice. But as a father, he wanted to know more about the relationship he had, how he feels while being inlove but Griffin take it away from them. As a parent, he knows for a fact that Griffin is no longer a young dependent but he's starting to direct adulthood and relationships independently and now Dian as parents slowly feel a sense of jealousy, seeing him grow up and form bonds outside their family. It triggers him to think he would eventually leave them knowing Griffin is not their biological son.

"I expect you to take responsibility for answering us Wyatt. Can you tell us what led you and Griffin to this? "

Lobo asked his son with the seriousness of the situation while he still allowed him to share his side. The dinner from Theo and Dian never happened as they decided to leave and talk their son

"Me and Griffin meet at the racing competition and we became friends afterwards, we always meet and..."

Neve looked at him in the eyes and asked him something.

"Are you aware that Griffin is a Vampire?"

"I only discovered it when we...."

Lobo and Neve looked at each other. They were afraid that something serious is actually happening between them.

"You and Griffin mated already?"

Neve cannot keep from worrying. He knows Griffin came from a good family but he didn't know what was their impression after knowing their son is secretly seeing their son.

"Yes Dad"

"Wyatt what have you done?"

Neve touch his head and walk back and forth. Him and Lobo knows vampires and werewolves are often depicted as enemies. Mating between them could lead to internal conflict or rejection from both communities, as it would be seen as a taboo. The child of Griffin and Wyatt from their union may be rejected, hunted, or feared.

"Do you know about why you're not allowed to mate vampire?"

He nodded. Though Wyatt love Griffin so much, he cannot deny that having a relationship to a vampire can lead to serious consequences and that he needs to consider his people and Griffin's people as well.

"You know what you're going to do next Wy, be responsible about it"

Lobo given his son a chance to decided for himself and for their community. He knows very well that Wyatt is wise and he will use his mind over his heart.

"I know Papa, sorry for everything"

Neve hugged and kissed his hair. He loves his son, he can give him everything that can make him happy but in this case, their people's sake is needed to priority. He cannot stand seeing chaos because of his son's affair.

Wyatt wasn't sure if they are incompatible for reproduction, He's not confident enough if there's no offspring would result from their mating and they could continue with their relationship, if they would not allow them to conceive a child. fate is scary, so he needs to avoid leading to unforeseen consequences.
