So I'm Nothing Like My Father...

Ciel has many guests today, some of them pretty important it seems. Though I don't really see how they are. In total there are five guests and not all of them are the most pleasant people.

As normal I stuck to Ciel's side and stood with him while watching him and his guests play billiards.

"Somehow there seems to be a rat infestation here too."

The man munching on a sandwich was more than likely referencing the noises outside that were being caused by some of the servants. Though he could also be talking about something to do with Ciel's work.

"How long do you intend to let that harmful animal that scavenges for food and spreads disease around do as it pleases?"

When he finished speaking another man spoke up, this one much thinner and wearing clothing quite different from the rest of the guests.

"Shall we let it do as it pleases? Or shall we make it swim?"

That line was a little confusing to me but I didn't dare speak up. I have to behave like a butler in front of guests, especially ones that are important.

This game was boring to me though and I was a bit wary of it because when I first came across it I ended up smashing my fingers a couple of times.

"Will you pass again, Earl Phantomhive?"

A woman in red asked Ciel who simply seemed to relax in his chair.

Ciel seemed to smile a bit as he told them that he was going to pass his turn. To be honest, I can't really follow his strategies a lot of the time.

"That's good judgement. When will the rat be exterminated?"

A man with glasses and a mustache  spoke up, he wasn't the nicest person and I knew that.

Ciel placed the larger end of his cue on the ground and leaned against it.

"Soon, I've already received the ingredients from Clause."

I blinked a bit, oh so that game really was part of his work and not just something that he wanted.

"We will eradicate the rat that finds its nest after we break a few of its bones. When can I receive the compensation for it?"

I glanced at Ciel but said nothing though I did glare a little bit at the mustached man when he insulted him. Of course it would be out of line for me to speak about it though.  Ciel handled the insult on his own though.

"Do you posses the right to insult our crest? You, a bloodhound that can't even catch one rat?"

The man grit his teeth and I had to hide a smile, you shouldn't mess with Ciel.

The foreign man who had just taken his turn at the game didn't seem to care what else was going on.

"Too bad, it's a fall... Billiards is hard..."

I have to agree with him on that.

"Next is the Earl, what will you do? Will you put an end to this waiting game?"

Ciel got up to go to the table and passed the mustached man, stopping to speak with him on the way but I didn't pay attention to what was said. In fact I stopped paying attention to everything that was said and just watched the balls on the table. Only smiling a little when Ciel won.

When the guests left I followed him as always, becoming a bit confused as I looked at what the everyone was doing.

"Sebastian!"
