My eyes widen in shock and surprise. No, this can't be happening. The look on my mothers face wasn't joking. Not a hint of a smile or amusement in her eyes.

"What? You've got to be joking, mom. Don't play around with me." She sighed and sat down on the couch. I, on the other hand, was going through so much emotion, I didn't want to move.

"Sweetie, it's for the best. Your grades are low and you need some time away from your friends." I looked at her in anger.

"My friends are what kept me in line at school, mom. If you don't let me stay here for the next three years, I'll be a huge troublemaker wherever I'm going." She sighed again and looked at me.

"Yazmine, it's too late. You leave tomorrow. I already had everything in your room sent to England." I paled at the thought of leaving my friends for the next three years. I thought of my boyfriend, Gerret, and how he would take to this. I was sure he would break up with me once I told him. I shook my head slowly, backing towards the front door.

"I hate you. I hate both of you!" I turned at the last second and ran into Fred. He reached out to steady me, but I was already twisting out of his reach and past him through the open door, sprinting down the driveway.

"Yazmine! Get back here!" I ignored my step-father's calls and continued to my best friends house. As I ran there, I thought about what was going to happen.

"Yazmine?" I looked at Mrs. Goldess in the doorway. I panted and looked down the road.

"Hi, Mrs. Goldess. Is Fiona home?" She shook her head. I silently cursed under my breath. She looked at me sternly. "Do you know where I can find her?"

"Sweetie, I don't know where she is. I keep trying to call her, but she's not picking up. She went out with Gerret about an hour ago. My heart sunk. Why are they together?

"Uh, okay. Thanks, Mrs. Goldess. Sorry to bother you." She smiled a little.

"I don't mind it, sweetie. See you later?" I nodded and left quickly, heading to the direction of downtown. As I jogged, I looked around, looking for the familiar blond and red hair. At least, I spotted them at the park, sitting next to each other. Gerret's red hair was turned to hers and she was kissing him back.

"You fucking asshole." I said a few feet from them. Gerret pulled away and looked at me, surprised. I looked at Fiona as she stood up.

"Yaz, I can explain." I scoffed.

"Don't need to. I saw the whole thing. How long have you two been like this? Sneaking behind my back?" Fiona looked at Gerret as he stood up.

"When we first started to go out." I growled and clenched my hands to fist.

"Two fucking years of cheating on me, with my fucking best friend! You know what, no. We're done. I'm through." I looked at Fiona in anger. "And don't even consider me your best friend again. I can't believe I ever trusted you."

"Yaz, princess-" I interrupted him by slapping him across the face.

"Don't fucking call me that. And don't even bother to look for me at school. I'm moving to England. I was going to rant to you, Fiona, but you had to go and fuck up our relationship. Have a fun fucking life without me." I turned and ran away. Away from home, away from my friends. I felt tears stinging in my eyes. I continued to run to the one place I knew wouldn't reject me. My guy best friend. He didn't go to my school, so I didn't have to worry about him running into Fiona and Gerret. He was in college, majoring in fashion. I reached his apartment and knocked frantically, trying to hold my tears in. He opened the door and took one look at me before pulling me into a hug. Something inside me broke as I started crying, sobbing into his chest.
